???: That's correct. You're not dead.

Jin quickly looked to his right side, but he was still extremely exhausted as his head was in a daze and he fell. Only for his head to be caught just before it hit the wooden frame of the bed. Looking at the man who caught his head before he got hurt.

The man was an elderly one. He had contrasting light blue eyes compared to Jins red, and a skin shade that only came from a nice tan. His hair was white and spiky, complimented by his thick white eyebrows, and a thick white mustache. He wore a long-sleeved black martial arts jumpsuit and light-colored pants. Tai Chi slippers placed on his feet. Yet despite the man's old age, his top, right to his body, clearly showed he was lean and very muscular.

Only a small scar placed on his cheek.

Jin: Who... Who are you?

???: My name is Ban.

Jin looked at the man still holding his head. Only to realise something very important for a child. Something every child should know. Something Jin was taught as he often needed to walk to school alone and walk back alone due to his busy guardian.

Jin: {Wait!} Stranger danger!

Jin backed up in the bed but it was in the corner of the room. Not much to back up to as he looked at Ban who seemed surprised. Giving a small old laugh as he looked at Jin being cautious.

Ban: I just just introduced myself to you though. If your doubting me, that is my real name. I could get a license if you want to show you.

Jin: Oh. Oh yeah. N-No need... I guess.

Jin put down his guard as he looked at Ban just looking at him. Only to hear a distinct and loud growl of Jins stomach. His sudden satiated feeling disappeared, replaced by an immense hunter that felt like he was starving all over again.

Ban: Do you want to get something to eat?

Jin looked at Ban and quickly nodded. Placing a small smile on Bans face as he picked Jin up to his surprise. Walking out of the small room and into a living room. A matted floor and a small low table with cushions around. Placing Jin down he walked off. Only leaving Jin to look around at the new environment he was in.

It all seemed similar to his old home. The one he ran away from. An old traditional Japanese style interior.

Jin: {I... I can't see you anymore.}

Jin slowly teared up as he wiped his eyes. Looking at Ban who brought in a plate of sandwiches. Tuna and mayo. Maybe it wasn't Jins favourite, but someone who was starving and welcomed into someone's home couldn't complain.

So as Ban sat down, placing the plate down on the table. Jin started to scarf down the food fast.

Ban: Make sure to chew slowly. I understand you're starving, but it's not good for you to overeat. Also retain some etiquette in front of others.

Jin looked at Ban as he slowly adjusted his sitting position. Sitting down on his feet and slowly eating the sandwich. Eating with his mouth closed and slowly savouring the sandwich.

Ban: So what's your name?

Jin widened his eyes with a full mouth as he looked back Ban.

Jin: Hoe he rrrr agres!

Which translated, Ban understood as "So we are strangers!" Which made Ban chuckle a little bit.

Ban: No talking with your mouth full. Finish the mouthful then you can speak. It's rude to speak with a full mouth.

Jin looked at Ban, for a complete stranger he was being so nice. Feeding him, taking him off the street. Saving him. Jin couldn't just call him a stranger. It was much more suiting to call him a saviour. Swallowing as he cleared his mouth.

Jin: My... My name is Jin.

Ban: Nice to meet you Jin. Are you enjoying the sandwiches?

Jin slowly ate another one as he nodded. Ban looked at him and slowly nodded. Taking a deep breath as he was about to ask a heavy question.

Ban: Why were you on the streets?

Jin looked at Ban and looked back down. Slowly finishing his sandwich and placed his hands back in his trousers. His dirty trousers.

Jin: I... I ran away from home.

Ban: Why did you run away?

Jin looked at Ban. Thoughts passed through his mind whether he should tell Ban or not. He didn't have to. He could hide it. But Jin wasn't going to hide it from Ban.

Jin: I... I saw someone that was getting bullied. They were punching and kicking a small boy. So I thought I should help him. I helped him run away. But then I started getting bullied. These people had hurt me so much before and it was happening again. They kept hitting me and kicking me. But... But when... I fought back. I... I didn't mean to. I didn't mean to kill him.

Ban looked at Jin surprised. Someone so young was suffering so much, and accidentally went too far.

Ban: {*Sigh* He's not a bad kid. Just naive.} I'll take you back then.

Jin: No. I... I don't want her to look at me differently. I don't want to see it.

Ban: Your parent or guardians not going to hate you kid. I'll take you back...

Jin: I SAID NO!

Jin shouted as he looked down in tear. Not realising the room shook around him in his very loud shout. Ban placed his hand on the table as everything stopped shaking. Looking at Jin who was crying.

Ban: {*Sigh* Maybe this is why I didn't have kids when I was younger.} If I try and take you back you're just going to cause a fuss and run away again aren't you?

Jin nodded as he wiped his eyes full of tears. Thinking of his guardian looking at him differently made him feel terrible. But when he heard l Bans sigh Jin looked up. Expecting that he was going to kick him out. But instead a strong, callused hand ruffled Jins hair.

Ban: If you change your mind, I'll aways be willing to take you back. But if you want to stay here. You can stay with me.

Jin looked at Ban as his eyes swelled with tears. Bursting out in cries as Ban picked up a sandwich and placed it in Jins mouth.  Jin ate is as he cried. His cries muffled as Ban kept feeding Jin sandwiches to keep him quiet.

Jin saviour was a nice person. Accepting Jin regardless what he had done.

Giving him a place to stay.
