Ch 117 - Giving It Away

Koneko had washed Jin and Jin helped wash Koneko. They both dried and ate sweets Kiba had specially for Koneko. Jin ate them as a small fox on Konekos' lap as they rested. But Jin had to go home. He had people waiting for him. Though Koneko wouldn't be heading back to the Underworld. She told Jin that she was going to be staying in a guest room in Kibas' apartment since it was still windy and raining heavily. Though she didn't ask Kiba if that was okay with him. But it was understandable she wouldn't want to go back outside in the mess that was the weather.

So Jin was going to be leaving back home alone. But he didn't leave without getting to place his head gently on Koneko, displaying the affection he felt for her. Jumping into the rain and going home. He got wet again, but there was the plus of not getting dirty this time.

Quickly Jin went straight home and took off his soaking wet clothes. He didn't want to have to clean the dojo floor so he carried his wet clothes and shoes upstairs, only his bare feet gently wetting the floor. Aika and Mittelt had their fun watching Jin come upstairs in only his wet boxers. Wiping their developing bloody noses at Jin's wet hair and glistening, lean, muscular physique.

Quickly in the bathroom Jin dried off and walked to their room with more stares. Placing his shorts on. Aika and Mittelt had been home for a while so they were able to make a feast for Jin. A feast they all dug into. An extremely large amount of spaghetti bolognese. But it wasn't long before it was finished without leftovers. Jin's appetite was unmatched. But after food, everyone grew tired. It had been a long day and the wind and rain were surprisingly peaceful despite how violent it was. So there was no making out, just sharing a gentle kiss goodnight as they peacefully slept in bed with each other. Listening to the soothing, but violent weather outside.

But Jin was mistaken to think to think the day would end so peacefully. Even in the storm outside bigger storms were brewing in Jin's life. He left his peaceful life behind and was now in chaos.

Though right now the chaos wasn't dangerous. It was small, powerful, and liked sweets. A fun chaos as Jin opened his eyes in the middle of the night. Feeling the power of another in the main room. Aika and Mittelt were clinging onto him fast asleep, but slowly he crawled out, standing on his own two feet as he walked out of his room and gently shut the door. Using Youjutsu to form a soundproof barrier around the room as he sat down, opposite Ophis.

Ophis: Sweets?

She asked, seeing if Jin remembered and he could only respond with a smile. Standing up he walked to the kitchen. Walking back with a full bag of them. Seeing Ophis and her adorable smile Jin sat down again. Jin too liked his sweets and so sharing them wasn't a problem. Ophis stood up and quickly went over to sit down on Jin's lap. He placed down the bag and took out a lollipop. Unwrapping it and handing it to Ophis who smiled.

Ophis: You grew up into a very good boy Jin.

Ophis said as she sat on Jin's lap and peacefully ate at the lollipop. But Jin had questions. A lot of questions about Ophis and the way she spoke. It sounded like she knew him when he was small. A lot smaller than he was now.

Jin: How do you know me Ophis?

Jin asked as Ophis continued eating at the lollipop, receiving a small hum from her as she thought. Coming up with a way she could properly describe how she knew Jin.

Ophis: I was there when you were growing, when your cells divided and your body was still taking shape and expanding. I was there when you were born and let out your first breath. I was there when you were awake at night, playing with my hair in your small hands, giggling away as I disappeared and reappeared in front of your eyes. I was there when your power was sealed by the nine-tailed guardian of yours. I was there when the human you know as Ban found you and took you in. I've been here most of your life. {You've just stopped seeing me as you've been without your power for so long you've forgotten how to use it.}
