Ch 154 - Moonlit Peace (2)

After getting the date going, Sona and Jins date continued. Getting time alone with each other, and speaking with each other while eating was nice. It gave them time to relax and enjoy a meal together. But the date had only just begun. Eating wasn't the only thing they were going to do and they needed time for their stomachs to satiate the meals they just ate. So as they finished the meal, with Jin paying no matter how rich Sona was, they weren't out.

Hitting that town as others called it. Though there was no hitting. Instead some gentle walking.

Walking in town of Kuoh they looked around together. Looking at shop windows, arm in arm. Late at night in Kuoh, there were others that were on dates. Others were dressed up, arm in arm. Sona and Jin were arm in arm just as the other adults were. Some were just a bit older than Sona and Jin, others much older and even some of elderly age. Some were also making out in the streets, others took a more relaxing style to their date. Others were going back home together. Sona saw many people out on dates, but she had a different idea for hers. There was something she wanted to test out. To see if it was really true what Mittelt and Akeno said.

To see if Jin really picked out the perfect lingerie first try.

Mittelt and Akeno had discussed it with each other. But they seemingly came to the same conclusion. Jin had a hand of magic. Picking out lingerie that was not only perfectly fitting for the woman he was picking it out for. But it was extremely comfortable and it made them look beautiful. Both Mittelt and Akeno had discussed how they compared their lingerie to the ones Jin picked and while the ones Jin picked couldn't be said to be lucky. The ones Jin picked were hands down the best.

They came to that conclusion after trying on all of their lingerie and comparing each one to what Jin got them.

They didn't know Jins technique, they didn't know his methods and he seemingly didn't know anything about lingerie. But it wasn't just luck. Because as Sona stood in the changing room, blushed a crimson red. She looked at herself in the mirror, she was left unable to deny the fact.

Jin was the hand of god when it came to picking out lingerie.

The Lingerie Linguist.

Jin: Sona, are you okay? You've been silent for quite a while.

Jin said from outside the changing rooms. Worried about Sona as it didn't sound like she moved an inch once she finished changing. He was worried she might have been crying. That was Mittel's reaction. He highly doubted Sona was going to have the same reaction Akeno did, pulling him into the room.

Sona: Y-Yes! I'm okay!

Jin: That's good. Can I come in and see? Does it look good on you?

Sona: NO!

Sona said in a panic as she got her dress to cover herself up. But all she heard from behind the curtain was "Oh" from Jin, as he sounded surprised and a bit sad. Even disappointed he failed to get Sona a lingerie she liked. He thought he was good at it after Mittelt and Akeno told him so.

Jin: Should I try and find a different one then?

Sona: No wait! I meant don't come in! I-I... I like the lingerie.

Jin: Oh!

Jin said as Sona could tell he was much happier. The two ways Jin said "oh" were extremely distinct. Sona smiled from behind the curtain as she could understand why Mittelt called him a dog. He showed his happiness exactly like one. She could tell he was smiling and she knew he perked up with that smile on his face. If his nine tails were out, they would have likely wagged like a dog.

Happy he was successful in choosing another lingerie.

Jin's actions, his displays of emotions and affection. It was all innocent and genuine. That's what made him so charming and what attracted so many people to him.

Everything Jin did was genuine and out of the kindness in his heart.

Slowly, Sona got changed and Jin paid for the lingerie just like he did dinner. Regardless of how rich Sona was, Jin wanted to pay. He wouldn't let her pay and she was happy about that. Because of all the things Jin could have done to take advantage of her. Use her money, power, name or position, he didn't.

Sona may have asked Jin out on the date, but it was Jin taking Sona out. Helping her relax from the stresses of her life. Even forgetting about the busy life she had and the work that was pulling up.

But walking through the streets, Sona took detours to an empty street. Jin watched Sona look up and down the empty street, checking if she was free to do as she pleased. And she was, the street was empty and silent. Not a single dog, cat, mouse or bat wandering around. The empty street meant that Sona came to a complete halt, holding Jin's hand as he too stopped with her.

Sona: Jin, could you help me with something?

Jin: Anything.

Sona: It may be cheese, but...

Sona slowly pulled out her phone and quickly pressed on an app. Pressing a song Jin remembered. As it started playing she placed it back in her pocket. The gentle pressing of piano keys sounded out from the phone and resonated with the atmosphere.

Jin: Chopin Nocturne in E Flat Major. Op. 9 No. 2. Your favourite piano piece.

Sona had her black bat-like wings appear as she looked up at Jin shocked. Holding his hand as she began to float off her feet and Jin understood what was happening. Stepping on air, walking up to the sky with her.

Sona: You... You remember?

Jin: Why wouldn't I? You're the one that told me.

Sona: That was months ago! On top of that, you were focusing on chess!

Jin: And?

Sona looked into Jin's crimson eyes as they slowly ascended into the air. Higher and higher into the moonlit sky. More and more as Sona began moving closer to Jin. Slowly Jin began to hold Sona. He knew what she wanted. They were about to peacefully dance.

Sona: You... Why do you like me so much?

Jin: If you wanted to ask a question. It should be why do I love you so much?

Jin looked down at Sona, gazing into her eyes. Yet she still couldn't understand. She couldn't believe it. Maybe it was the stress making her doubt herself, but she wanted to know why. Slowly they held each other close, Sona leading as Jin didn't yet know how to dance.

Sona: After what I did to you, what I did against you, even raising my voice at you today and rudely rejecting you. Why did you come on this date with me? Why... Why do you still love me? Why... Why do all of this for me? No one... No one would love someone when the other is so rude to them as I've been to you.

Sona asked as even her first time meeting Jin, she was rude. Her second time meeting Jin, she was rude. Even after knowing him so long, she was mean to him. Today, she raised her voice and took her stress out on Jin. She didn't see herself as a good person, let alone a good girlfriend.

Jin: Isn't it obvious? All I've ever wanted is for you to be happy. That's all I want for the people close to me. Are you happy with me Sona?

Sona looked into Jin's crimson eyes as her violet ones seemed to shine and spark in the moonlight. Her heart beated faster as she held close to Jin. Slowly swaying in the air with her head against Jin.

Sona: I'm very happy with you Jin. So if you're going to remember anything, remember... that I love you.

Jin: I'll remember that forever.

Jin said as he let Sona relax. Gently swaying among the star and the moon. Travelling higher and higher. Jin held Sona close as they got higher into the air. He gently danced with her to the music that was playing. Letting her relax and forget about her stress.

Letting her know peace and remember all the reasons she loved Jin. Feeling the warmth and gentle touch of his embrace.
