Ch 111 - Their Daughter

Jin was currently in his dojo training his new style. One based around fire in contrast and similarity to the Fist of Flowing Water; Crushing Rock. Jin couldn't figure out an appropriate name for it, but Mittelt could, as she decided to call it Fist of Flickering Flames, Scorching Earth. Because at moments the movements were like a gentle flicking candle flame, hypnotic and mesmerising in its movement. But at other moments, the movements were so intense that they could destroy anything and everything, the movements felt like burning fire.

Jin was working on his Fist of Flickering Flames, Scorching Earth style. He was perfecting the basic movements of the style and strikes. Martial arts were supposed to be teachable to everyone, so it couldn't be only learnable to Kitsune with Fox Fire, it couldn't be only learnable to those with supernatural power. Martial arts were supposed to be empowering. So even at human levels of strength and speed, Jin was making it so that the style still made the sounds of a roaring flame. He made the movements so that the body and fists still flickered. Just like other martial arts, he had learned.

Jin was making a style that was empowering, just like Ban's Fist of Flowing Water; Crushing Rock. He was making a second part to Ban's martial arts. A type of martial arts that worked well used together as well as apart.

Mittelt was also practicing her spearmanship. Using a wooden spear since the dojo downstairs had an entrance of all glass, so no one would see her light spear. She was also visualising firing spears while using her spearman ship, to make her more effective in battle.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

Quickly Jin looked at the doors as he saw both of Aikas parents. Mr and Mrs Kiryuu standing there in the dark. Something that confused him. But he walked to the door, stopping his martial arts training, unlocking the door and looking at them.

Jin: Aren't I a bit too old for you two to still be checking in on me?

Mrs Kiryuu: Oh no sweetie! We haven't started checking on you again. We actually are here to ask you something.

Mr Kiryuu: I assume that the girl with the wooden poll is Mittelt.

Jin: You would be correct.

Mr Kiryuu sighed but Mrs Kiryuu slapped him over the back of the head. Making him stand up straight and only glance at Mrs Kiryuus's serious glare.

Mrs Kiryuu: As I was saying, we are here to ask you something. What we are about you is important and you can't answer it without thinking.

Jin: I don't normally do anything without thinking.

Mr Kiryuu: Moving out by yourself at the age of 12 may have been a rushed decision.

Mrs Kiryuu slapped Mr Kiryuu over the head again as Jin was beginning to get confused about why exactly they were here. They stopped checking on him years ago because they as mature adults had deemed Jin was capable of functioning independently. He took care of himself and worked hard. He never forgot to eat, he studied, and he had extracurricular activities. He was perfectly capable of taking care of himself.

They had even found out that he was capable of taking care of others. That was why they were here.

Mrs Kiryuu: Now back to what I was about to say. Jin, would you please take care of our daughter?

Jin: Of course.

Jin said quickly and without thinking. Because it was a given that he would always take care of her. Jin would have thought that Mr and Mrs Kiryuu would know that after being in their lives so long and Aikas life. He even attended Christmas at theirs. Aikas birthdays were something he never missed.

Jin would always take care of Aika.

Mr Kiryuu: We're not just talking about looking out for her either! We've overheard her in her room. The fact you're with many girls!

Mrs Kiryuu: We also know this is a situation Aika began and once the ball gets rolling, it will never quite stop.

Mr and Mrs Kiryuus said as they had heard Aikas devious laughs and seen her devious smile. They knew Aikias perverted nature may have come from Mrs Kiryuus's line of work and her constant sneaking into Mrs Kiryuus's work studio. But they had no clue where the devious smile or laugh came from. It was completely unique to her.

Mr Kiryuu: I honestly don't care how many girls you take, 10 to even 100, all that matters to us is that Aika remains happy! You have been in her life for nearly all of it, from the beginning we knew she liked you. She was excited and giddy even mentioning your name.

Mrs Kiryuu: She's even been asking us to move in with you and while we like to agree since it would only be up the road and it would give me and my husband great time alone, we're not concerned about the size of your place unlike what we tell her. We want to know if you will really take care of our little girl.

Mrs Kiryuu said as Aika moving out was no light matter. Even for Jin, they didn't take him moving out lightly. They constantly checked on him to make sure he was safe and okay. They were even more worried about Aika, their daughter.

Mr Kiryuu: Before you, she didn't have many or any friends to speak of. Even when she made some friends they came and left. We want to know if you will be a constant in her life. I want to know if you will stay with her, because if you plan on leaving her if you plan on neglecting her for other girls, me and you have a serious problem!

Mr Kiryuu said glaring at Jin seriously as he looked at the Mittelt girl. Despite her size, they knew she was the "same age" as Jin. In the same class as him. They only wanted their daughter happy. They didn't care about how she gained this happiness. If she was with a guy who was with many girls and it worked. They were fine with it because it wasn't any random boy. It was Jin.

If it was anyone else they would have been very against the idea.

Mrs Kiryuu: So Jin. Are you going to take care of our daughter, and are you ready for everything that comes with that?

Mrs Kiryuus said as she looked at Jin hopeful. Both Mrs and Mr Kiryuu looked up at Jin waiting for his answer. But they didn't have to wait long.

Jin: I love your daughter. I've already told her, but nothing between her and me will change how much I care for her. If you want me to stay with her forever, I've already promised that to her. I've promised that I'll love her and I've promised I'll care for her. I promise to you, that I am prepared for everything that comes along with that.

Mrs Kiryuu smiled widely as she hugged Jin. Backing up she seemed to smile even wider.

Mrs Kiryuu: I knew you would say yes. I just didn't know you would say it so well! I knew from the moment you moved out you were someone I wanted my daughter to have grandbabies with!

Mr Kiryuu: You've been a man since you were young. So you have my blessings. Make sure to keep your promise.

Mr and Mrs Kiryuu said, with Jin blushing slightly at the mention of children with Aika. With Jin watching them leave satisfied that they got the answer they wanted.
