Ch 88 - Time Under The Tree

After Jin had told Saji how to train, Saji began coming by Jins a lot more to learn. Advice and tips on how to eat, how to work out, Jin helped adjust Sajis style in the dojo. Using a chain to demonstrate or being a test dummy to for Saji to try it out on. Saji had asked how Jin grabbed the Absorption Lines which were supposed to be intangible to everyone else but Sanji, but he wasn't satisfied with the answer Jin gave. All Jin did was feel the energy of the Absorption Line and grabbed it. There may have been some energy in Jins hand, but he didn't do anything special. Leaving Saji incredibly confused.

It seemed like Jins dojo was even getting more people in it as Aika came after school every day. Staying much longer before she went back home.

But a few hours in the day, whenever Jin didn't have an after school club, Jin was under a tree in his fox form with one tail. Sitting in the lap of a very small girl with short white hair to match her short 4 foot 6 inches stature.

Jin really liked laying on the small girls lap. There was something peaceful about it. She was never too rough in stroking Jins fur, she was never too harsh touching his fluffy ears. She was consistently perfect as if she knew exactly what she was doing. A professional at gently soothing and caring for a small animal such as Jins current appearance. All while Jin rested from his new busy life and the perverts of the world.

Though he was very concerned he may have been turning into one.

???: I haven't named you.

The small girl said as if blurting out a sudden thought. Saying it in her usual monotone voice. All while Jin perked up at the comment. Standing up and looking at the girl. He liked his name. He didn't know who gave it to him, but he didn't want to change it. Slowly the girl picked Jin up and looked at his crimson eyes.

???: Do you want a name?

Jin shook his head quickly side to side saying he didn't want a name. The small girl knew he understood but was slightly confused by Jins answer.

???: What about Kin? It means gold.

Jin: {Huh. It's not to different from my name. But I have a name!}

Jin shook his head quickly saying no. Not that he didn't like the name, his fur was a golden yellow and it wasn't all too different from his current name. But his current name was special and it was what everyone knew him by.

???: Hmmmm. Cotton Ball?

Jin as quickly as he could shook his head to say how much he didn't like the name. To which he got a small giggle from the girl.

???: How about this? I'll say many names and you keep shaking your head until you like one.

Jin: {*Sigh* My necks going to be in pain after this.}

The girl took a breath as Jin began moving his head to stretch the muscles in his neck. Both getting ready as the girl gave a small smile at Jin, a small fox in her hand getting ready. Taking a breath, Jin started shaking his head from side to side.

???: Maru, Hoshi, Akira, Chiisai, Fuji.

Jin kept shaking his head. But he had yet to know this girl wasn't one that was a quitter. She would give Jin a name no matter how long it took. She was bound to find a name he would like. Regardless if Jin was still shaking his head in disapproval even if she wasn't speaking.

???: Daiki, Ryuu, Megumi, Tsuki, Jin.

Suddenly Jins head stopped completely as he looked at the girl. Who gave a small smile looking at Jin, whose new name was Jin.

???: Do you like it? It means benevolence in Japanese; bright, beautiful, and gold in Chinese.

Jin widened his eyes as he placed his nose against the girls, rubbing his head against hers to display his affection. In which was returned in kind. As the girl rubbed her head and nose on Jin. Again, whose new name was Jin.

???: You know... if I had to rank my friends, you'd be very high up on that list, Jin.

The girl gently smiled as she slowly pulled Jin into a hug. Because not all of that sentence was good. But Jin felt that as he nestled into her.

???: Now you have a name. Oh. I'm Koneko by the way.

Jin: {Koneko. Koneko. Neko.}

Jin looked up at the girls small cat hair pins as he smiled widely. Hugging close to the girl as he liked her cute name. The girl gently smiled as she brought her legs closer to her. Balling up with Jin in her arms.

Sitting under the tree with him, that much closer.
