Ch 127 - Eager Fox

Jin: *Sigh* What with the children of Kyoto? First bullying, now I have a crazy stalker. {It's like I attract the worst children of this city.}

Jin grabbed the bridge of his nose as he never had a great experience with other children in Kyoto, and it seemed that the experience would continue to hold true even after years of leaving. Though he was having a completely new problem. The bad child experience was now elevated from bullying to stalking. His second-ever stalker was a child. One that wasn't anything like Mittelt. This child wasn't brash and she wouldn't leave him alone.

???: I am not a stalker!

Jin: A stalker is someone who pursues someone obsessively. You have been doing that exact thing.

Jin said as the girl looked at his crimson eyes. But surprisingly she didn't react how Jin would think, instead, she smiled widely and rushed over to Jin. Hugging Jin's waist in a bright smile that could light up a room.

???: Then I guess I am your stalker! I obsessively stalk my lover!

Jin widened his eyes as he looked up and down the street. Looking around at the houses around. Thankfully the street was empty and no one seemed to hear what she said. Jin looked down at the girl hugging onto his waist. Putting his hand on the girl and trying to pull her off so as to not cause any questions from pedestrians he couldn't answer. But the girl wouldn't let go. Jin put his hand in between them to try and pry her off, but it wasn't working.

He didn't want to put too much force into it and hurt the kid. That would make him feel bad and he would definitely get arrested then. But he couldn't have this random child hugging onto him.

Jin: Please just get off!

???: NO! You... are... MINE!

The girl said biting at Jin's arm and turning into a fox. Her bite didn't hurt, but now getting her off was an even bigger problem. Even shaking his arm hard didn't work, it only made her small fox body swing about dangling off from his arm. Holding on by her teeth as hard as possible. As if trying to mark him as hers.

Jin: You... you're acting like a child!

???: I am a child!

Jin: Exactly! The difference in our ages is too large! You're too young! It's not ethical! I could get in trouble for it so stop saying you love me!

???: Come on! Can't you wait a few years?!

Jin: I don't even know you!

Jin said shaking his arm hard, whipping his arm about like a river. Like water and the bends in its steam. Swinging faster and faster until the small fox flung off from his arm. Losing the grip with her teeth. But she flew too high into the sky at Jins swinging. Jin could see her panic as he dropped his bag and jumped up high into the air. Catching her softly into his arms, holding her close so as to not hurt her. Landing back on the floor on his two feet.

Jin: Are you okay?!

The small girl in the form of a fox looked at Jin, but instead of being scared of Jin or at the height she was just thrown, she smiled widely. Jin looked very confused. But he didn't he didn't have long to be confused.

???: Again! Again! Higher this time!

Jin looked at the small fox in his arms as it jumped up and down. The first time was terrifying, but it was exciting and fun too. She was flying for the first time and felt the wind ruffling her soft fur. Even the descent from such a high height was fun. But Jin looked extremely unamused. Placing the small fox down and walking off.

???: Wait!

Jin: Please just stop following me! I already have one stalker and she's all I need!

???: But... I... You... YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO KYOTO IN A WHILE CORRECT?!

Jin stopped and in a blue glow, the girl turned from her fox form into her regular little girl appearance. Looking at Jins tall back from behind him. But she smiled as he stopped. She knew she had a chance with Jin. Maybe not being with him, but not getting completely rejected.

Jin: What of it?

???: You... You and your friends will need a tour guide! I saw you knock on a human's house. It's obvious you haven't lived here for many years so you wouldn't know all the new best places to go! On top of that, you don't seem that old! So you lived here when you were young! As young or even younger than me! You need someone who knows not only parks and standard tourist destinations like you! You need someone who knows great places! Places no other tourist would go because it's outside the regular tourist's sights! SITES YOU WILL REMEMBER FOREVER!

The girl shouted as Jin looked down at the floor, looking down the street and then up at the sky. It had been 12 years since he lived here. The girl was right. He only knew basic tourist places and parks, he didn't even know the most popular ones. He had to research those. On top of that, many things would have changed after so many years. That was obvious as his guardian had moved. Jin didn't know much about Kyoto anymore. He sighed as he turned around and looked at the small girl who wore a smile of victory.

Jin: What's your name?

???: Kunou. My name is Kunou.

Jin looked at the girl. Sighing more as she was acting like a harmless adorable girl. Despite being obsessive and a stalker. Jin pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed.

Jin: If you promise not to say you love me, you can be the tour guide for me and my friends.

Kunou: Only if... you hold my hand the entire time! Sweet, loving, hand-holding!

Jin looked at Kunou as she held out her hand. But Jin was yet to hold her hand, not until she changed her wording. The wording was something he didn't like and didn't want to encourage.

Kunou: Fine. Sweet... friendly, hand-holding.

Jin looked at Kunou and closed his eyes. That was going to be the best he was getting out of her. She was unlikely to think of it as anything less. Jin took in a deep breath and let out a loud sigh, holding Kunous hand. Causing her to smile widely and stick close to him.

Kunou: Now let's go! {Yes! My big brother likes me!}

Jin: {This child's a pain.}

Jin thought, walking with Kunou holding his hand. But as she smiled widely, very happy and bright, he couldn't help but smile slightly.

Her happiness nearly infections.
