After making the figures and letting them completely dry, they ended up being both extremely hard and smooth. They were ready for the final process of figure-making. The colour. A specific paint was needed to give it a nice, smooth, shiny look and finish. But Jin didn't just begin painting like a child. He searched up how to properly paint these figures to a quality that would show off his skill. These three figures would be the ones he would use to advertise his abilities on social media and commissioning pages.
After watching countless tutorials and demos, researching how to paint his figures in the light and quality they deserved. He began. Using Allsight to be as detailed as possible. Using Mrs Kiryuus's paints, Jin started with a base coating, applying a thin coat of paint ready to receive multiple layers. Then he began the real work. Shading, remembering the lights and how they shone on the people he figured. Layering the colour they needed and making the shadows more vibrant. He added highlighting and added texture with a dry brush. Impeccable detailing in their facial appearances and hair. With a few minor details and finishing touches, Jin was done and the paint dried quickly.
Ban was painted in all his glory. His light blue eyes were perfect, the skin shading was wrinkly which demonstrated Ban's nice tan. His hair was white and spiky, with a detailing that almost looked real. Jin didn't skip out on Ban's prized thick white eyebrows, and a thick white moustache. Jin made the long-sleeved black martial arts jumpsuit he always wore and the light-coloured pants Jin always saw him in. The figure even had Bans Tai Chi slippers. Just like Ban, the figure clearly showed his lean muscular body.
Jin was happy with the finished product and it would make sure he would never forget Ban, his master.
For his first guardian, she had her young fair skin, one that showed her beauty. Her long hair was a golden blonde that looked like it was worth more than any gold. Only her golden eyes matched in value painted to perfection as Jin never forgot them. Every millimetre of her beauty was captured in the paint from her short noble eyebrows to the bandages that taut her hair. Jin made sure that he put every once of his feelings into the figure and she too ended up perfect.
For Hex, maybe he was a bit exaggerated in how amazing he was. But when Jin painted him he wasn't just an old man. He was the old man. His noble robes painted elegance, the king piece in his hand was the black piece Jin always played with. He never once played white. Hex was painted in a way that showed he was a great Arch Nemesis. The greatest.
When Jin was done and the paint was dry, he took pictures. He took them as professionally as he could. Showing all the skill he has in figure making. The skill he could further develop. He set a price where he made high profit margins but undercut the rest of his competitors. It was night and all of his preparations set. Posting on all the social media accounts he made. Launching his commission platforms.
Jin: *Phew* Finally... done.
Jin set his phone on the desk as he hugged Aika who was asleep. Hugging her and closing his eyes. Going to sleep.
Time skip
Jin heard a weird vibrating and binging as his eyes groggily opened. Twisting in Aikas arms as he grabbed his phone. Looking at it. Rubbing his eyes, but his vision wasn't blurry. What he was seeing was correct. On his phone many notifications for commissions rang.
[Can you make Reina Kurashiki on her...]
[Midoriya mid Detroit SMASH!!!!]
[Every female character from Dropout!]
[Shiraishi Kyouka from Energy Kyouka!!]
There were many commissions on his phone. Money literally rolled into an account he made but there was one problem. Jin was going to be very busy.
Jin: *Sigh* I guess I can cut back from long hours of chess. {The more I make figures the faster I'll get and then I can get those hours back.}
Aika: J-Jin.
Aika yawned as she looked at Jin's phone. Trying to read what was on it. Her vision was blurry and tired, to begin with, but then she could read what was on it.
Aika: Energy Kyouka? Nice~.
Aika smiled as she cuddled close to Jin who looked at his phone and Aika. He was confused. She seemed to know what this was but Jin didn't.
Jin: *Sigh* A lot of research will be needed too.
Jin didn't know it yet, but most of his commissions were more erotic figures. All in Kuoh. However, his commissions were coming from many different places. Even one from abroad.
But what really mattered was, Jin now had a secure source of income. He could go home.
