Jin had walked back through Urakyoto. Holding Kunou in his arms this time. The reason she could feel Jin, even as far as in Kuoh, was because she was being trained to feel the Kyoto Leylines, which Yasaka said Jin felt really similar to. Kunou had constantly felt Jin from afar. But she was happy she could feel him up close now. Her big brother, and someone she loved.
Jin had carried her the whole way back to the large home of Yasaka. The size of it showed she was nobility in Youkai standards. It was a large traditional Japanese residence. Just like Yasaka, it too was cultural. But when they got back Kunou left, going off somewhere. Leaving Jin and Yasaka to sit alone together in a room.
In silence.
They didn't know what to say to each other. It had been many many years. What was normal to say to each other after what happened? After what Yasaka told Jin of his life and his parents' lives. They didn't know what to say. But Jin needed to say something.
Jin: So... Kunous father.
Yasaka: He... He was someone I was seeing while you were still here. He's a Kitsune. A mate set up for me to continue the nine-tail lineage.
Yasaka said as neither Jin nor her knew what to say. She didn't know if she should treat Jin as her child like she did before. If she should look at him as more of a man given his age, appearance and maturity. Or even as a friend. She didn't know what to do.
Jin: Oh. T-That's nice. Are... Are you two still together?
Yasaka: He passed away. Disease.
Jin: What? I thought the supernatural didn't catch diseases.
Yasaka: It makes sense you would think that. That applies to Devils and Fallen Angels even normal Angels. That doesn't apply so much to Youkai. Only a few species of Youkai don't catch such diseases. Kitsune aren't one of them. Though Daiyoukai like us nine tails, don't catch them.
Jin looked at Yasaka, but she wasn't quite looking him in the eye. Jin looked at Yasaka and couldn't think as to say anything else. He just wanted to look Yasaka in the eyes.
Jin: Could you look at me?
Yasaka: Jin I...
Jin: Yasaka. Please look at me.
Yasaka gripped the soft fabric of her shrine maiden attire. The soft red fabric as she slowly looked up. Looking Jin in his crimson red eyes. But despite inheriting them from his father, he didn't look anything like him. Even his eyes looked different, the way they looked at Yasakas golden eyes was different.
Yasaka: Jin.
Jin: I... I have always loved you. Even when I thought you would hate me, I still loved you. I don't see you as a mother Yasaka. You... are a perfect woman to me.
Yasaka blushed as she looked at Jins serious eyes. She had always known, he told her when he was a child. He was proud to love such an amazing woman, even as a child. It was something he never kept from them, nor did he keep it from others. She never took him seriously though, she even teased him about it when he was younger. But she would be lying to say there wasn't a connection between them. She'd be lying if she said she didn't think of him that way. Wondering if he would come back for that very reason.
Yasaka: Even... Even if I was to say I do or could feel the same. I can't. I promised Hinata that you would see more than just Kyoto. A place I cannot leave.
Jin: I don't need to see any more. Even if you want to keep me away, knowing what I know, I want to keep coming back to you Yasaka.
Yasaka couldn't help but blush more. Even if she knew Jin as a baby, a child. Right now he was a man. There wasn't any argument about it, he was a very handsome man. Even if she tried to say it was immaturity, she knew she would be lying. Jin was not immature. He may have been ignorant of some practices, but he knew very well of his own feelings.
