Ch 82 - The Weakest Piece

Everyone in the school had heard of the fight that was about to occur except the teachers. The news has spread like wildfire and everyone from the first years to the third years knew about the fight that would occur during lunch. A fight occurring between two students, a first-year and a second-year. Between Saji and Jin. Sona was also someone who heard about the fight and had met with Jin before lunch. Telling him that she didn't want Saji to fight him, but he seemed adamant and refused to listen to her. But Jin told Sona not to worry. Fighting was what he was used to. Sona didn't know Jins power yet but she was worried for him.

She knew him as a Kitsune but not a nine-tail. She had never seen Jin fight either. She just didn't want either of them to get hurt.

Everyone already had their favourites, they were already rooting for them. Most of which were for Jin. Given his size and build, it was obvious he was stronger. But in the world of the supernatural that may have not always been the case. But what no one expected was the betting that occurred, with Saji having terrible odds. It was a slight to witness as the school ground completely changed. Though Jin tried to still keep away from big crowds. He wasn't used to it yet. If they were too close that was when he had a problem.

But when it came to lunch, the bell ringing out, Jin left straight for the fight. Leaving his classroom with Mittelt holding his hand, walking with him as everyone else followed behind. As if following the leader, everyone followed Jin outside expecting for the fight. Already met with Saji with many other students behind him waiting for the fight.

Jin looked at Saji and he was grinning. In his mind, he was someone who needed four pawn pieces to turn into a Devil, he was strong. He had potential and a Sacred Gear. This was his fight. But he would be lying if he said Jins build didn't intimidate him slightly.

Saji: So you didn't run away, good on you.

Jin: Let's not talk too much, I'm only interested in how strong you are.

Jin said as Saji gripped his hands. Looking at Sona who was in the crowd glaring at him. This wasn't something she wanted. The two boys she cared about fighting over her. But it did make her heart beat a little faster knowing Jin would fight for her. Even though he didn't know what that meant to her and Saji.

Standing next to Sona was most of her peerage, with Aika there. Mittelt was standing besides Aika, Rias and Akeno who showed up. Standing in the crowd together looking at the fight between Jin and Saji. Interested in what Jin would display.

Jin: {Is it just me or have all women suddenly got a lot more beautiful? From Mittelt to Aika, Sona and Rias. Akeno definitely looks beautiful. That scary look as if she's going to jump on me makes me feel some type of way. Was I missing some...}

Saji: PAY ATTENTION!

Saji shouted as he ran at Jin quickly. Jin looked at Saji. But then quickly became confused. Looking at the way he ran, the posture he ran with, the method of which he was about to throw his fist. It all looked off. It all looked untrained to Jin. But Jin had no doubt Saji was strong, he had too much confidence to be weak. So Jin waited to let the punch hit him. What looked extremely quick and impressive to others looked extremely slow to Jin. Almost confused about how Saji was going so slowly. He was going to let himself get hit because he wanted to see how strong a Devil was, but now it just felt embarrassing to get hit by something so slow.

But then an idea got into Jin's head. Saji was using human amounts of strength. He wasn't weak or slow, he just wasn't showing off his supernatural power. This was supposed to be a fight on limited power but to see who would exhausted first.

So Jin watched as the fist finally hit his face dead center as the crowd Oooooed. But Saji noticed something, something many began to notice. Jin didn't so much as blink or react to the punch. Unfazed by it.

Saji: {I was going easy on you, but no more!}

Saji began to rapidly punch and kick Jin. But all Jin did was watch as all Saji attacks were weak and so slow to him. Jin let the attacks hit him to exhaust Saji. It was the better tactic in a fight of stamina. He would let Saji exhaust himself since his punches and kicks weren't doing anything to him.

But this method of fighting was boring for Jin and quickly he regretted the decision.

Jin: {*Sigh* I wish he fought with his full strength. But I guess I can finish this with human force, it shouldn't take long.}

Jin said putting his fist quickly to Sajis stomach. Indicating to the crowd to part with his eyes and they did quickly. Because with a boom of Jin's heart and a boom that rang out causing many to jump in shock, Saji was winded and sent flying off his feet, rolling in the dirt of the ground as he rolled past the crowd. One that was watching in boredom to start out with, roared in excitement and shock at what just happened. With Sona, Rias and Akeno looking shocked at Jin.

A single punch, not even one inch away, but right at Saji. A zero-inch punch was enough to put Saji on the ground unable to gather his breath. Winded, down on the floor unable to breathe or stand properly.

Jin: Why... Why was he so weak?

Everyone: Why are you so freakishly strong?!

Everyone rushed around Jin as he was surrounded. With people grabbing at his arms and pulling him around. Feeling him and causing him to feel queasy.

???: How did you cause a boom?! Did you stomp on the ground or something?!

???: What's your workout routine dude?!

???: It's not fair! Why were you born so tall?!

???: Will you consider a date with me?!

Jin was being pulled and pushed around by nearly the whole school as the words of people started to mix into a blur. Jin's mind came to a halt as he didn't know what to do. There were too many people and being this close to him was making him feel exhausted and faint.

Akeno: HEY! Give him some room!

Rias: Stop acting desperate and let go of him!

Mittelt: Move out of the way!

Aika: Stop pulling on him!

Sona: EVERYONE LEAVE OR THE SCHOOL COUNCIL WILL PERSONALLY SEE TO INDIVIDUAL REPRIMANDING! INFORMING THE TEACHERS!

Everyone froze as the crowds looked at each other. Quickly running away to do something else with their lunch. Because just like an anime, this school council had that much power. But as people ran off, some people ran towards Jin. Rias, Akeno, Aika, Mittelt and Sona.

Mittelt: Are you okay Jin?!

Mittelt said holding his hand, as Jin looked down at her worried face.

Jin: I'm... I'm okay. Is Saji okay?

Sona: He won't be after I'm done with him!

Sona said in fury as Jin looked over at Saji, getting helped up by Sonas peerage. While turning into a Stay Devil was a punishment for major crimes, Sona would be delivering a harsh punishment to Saji.

One that made even Jin shake a little as Sona began cracking her hands outwards.
