A skeleton was sitting high up in the sky. Invisible to everyone as he looked down at Kyoto blow the white fluffy clouds. His bony skull without a face may have not shown it, but he was smiling as he looked down at the busy city. Where he went there was a throne prepared for him. A stone throne that seemed to sit on nothing but air. His black cloak covered most of his body as he sat down, leaning on his hand, his bony elbow on the arm of his stone throne.
Mors watched as 5 men flew up with wings of pure light, a golden light. The men looked like priests, dressed in clerical clothing of white and grey. White trousers and buttoned tops with grey cloaks. A cylindrical hilt was attached to their sides and a gun to the other side of their waist. But it was a gun that glowed a golden yellow. Its appearance also didn't look like a normal gun. It was metallic and white but looked much more technological than a regular gun. But as the men flew up to Mors, they lowered their heads. As if lowering them before a king, their lord.
Mors: Have you got a good look at him?
???: I believe we have ascertained his abilities. He may have much more magic than a regular Kitsune and I can tell that from the density of his magic power. But he seems to possess similar powers and methods of using that power as a regular Youkai.
A man with long blue hair tied back said. His appearance, his weapons. He was an Exorcist, but he didn't immediately try and kill Mors at first sight. He was working for Mors. They all were. As Devils strayed away from their masters and laws, they were Exorcists who strayed from their laws and religious practices. Stray Exorcists.
???: He didn't sense us, he was distracted and had little awareness of his surroundings besides what he was actively searching for and most likely immediate threats.
A short bleached blond-haired man mentioned as they watched and followed Jin. But being so distracted by Kunou, he hadn't taken notice of them. He hadn't noticed any of them and even Mors in the sky. No one had noticed them.
???: His age as well as the way he carries himself tells us he lacks experience with surprise assaults. It's likely he also lacks battle, but he doesn't seem unfamiliar with combat. If it were my expert opinion, he's likely fought Stray Devils, but not much more.
A green-headed man said. Gulping as he felt the weight of Mors in front of him. Even sitting down Mors excluded power. Something he had never felt from anyone else. It was an impossible power to describe or compare.
???: His build does show strength though. It emanates blood, sweat and tears. A life dedicated to training. Physically, he will be much stronger than any Kitsune I've ever seen. Maybe even in history. But with this, it's unlike he uses magic or knows much of it. He probably primarily relies on Senjutsu.
The black-haired man said, his breath steady and calm. He had watched Jin carefully. Watching him jump at such a height without Senjutsu. It was obvious to him Jin attained a strength incomparable to any other Kitsune through hard work. It was that hard work that made him so strong.
But then Mors looked at the last man with empty eyes. Only darkness in his skull and darkness glowing from it.
Mors: What about you Leo? What is your opinion on Jin?
Leo looked up at Mors. It seemed he lacked fear whatsoever in Mors terrifying presence. Leo had hazel eyes but a bald head. Looking into the darkness of Mors empty eyes. He knew even now, he wasn't going to die being so bold. Because Mors needed him.
He was confident in his abilities even in front of an entity much stronger. Because he knew his supposed worth.
Leo: He is strong, if it was us before, we would have all lost to him. But with what you've given us, we will be victorious.
Mors remained silent as he looked at Leo. He then looked at everyone else, their golden yellow wings of polygon shape giving them flight. Mors looked back at Leo.
Mors: I've enhanced your standard Exorcist weaponry far past what you would find anywhere else. I've given you all Sacred Gear that will give you the ability to win if used correctly. You are to capture Jin and bring him back alive. It doesn't matter if he's missing his arms or legs. Even if half his torso is missing it doesn't matter as long as he's alive. You can accomplish at least this Leo, Iria, Harper, Patrick, Markus. Can't you?
Leo, Iria, Harper, Patrick & Markus: We will not fail! This infected world will burn along with all Devil scum!
Mors looked at all of them with empty eyes, and with a contorting of air and what seemed like their very vision. In black shards and glints of magic, Mors disappeared. Leaving Leo, Iria, Harper, Patrick and Markus to plan how they would capture Jin.
Scene change
Somewhere dark, of nearly no light. Only the light of purple and black emitted from a twisting and appearing Mors. Leaning in his chair within the darkness that matched the emptiness of his eyes.
Mors: {They're all going to die. Even Leo despite how adept he seemed to be with the Sacred Gears I gave him. But they will not die without purpose. I've prepared at least that much.}
Mors thought as his teeth slightly cackled. Clattering on his other set of teeth. Now only waiting and further planning. He made his move. He was playing white on this chess board. Now it was time for Jin to move his chess piece. It was time for Jin to make his move.
And even though Jin didn't know he had a new challenger. He was always ready to play black.
