Aika had gotten slightly better from his tears, so under Jins better judgment, they would be missing school today. Jin messaged his friends and told them he wouldn't be in school. Maybe the teachers would question him why he wasn't in school tomorrow, but today Jin would be taking care of Aika with Mittelt. All to make sure she was okay after what happened yesterday night and during the night.
As Aika sat on Jin's lap with Mittelt, he slowly fed the pancakes that he made for her today. Her head was gently resting on Jin's chest as she took it in. Taking in Jins steady breathing, his heavy beating heart, his warm and muscular body, all while she was only in the underwear she wore and his baggy black top which was big on her. Something that would have been a full dress on Mittelt was a bit tighter on her, showing her figures.
Jin: Actually, now that you two are here, could I ask you for some advice?
Mittelt: Advice?
Aika: On what?
Both Mittelt and Aika looked up at Jin confused, surprised he needed advice on anything. But this was a topic he still didn't completely understand.
Women.
Jin: You see... I may have lost someone close to me because I didn't know how to properly tell them who I was, and that may have hurt them in a way I didn't mean to.
Aika: Whose this person?
Jin: Koneko. A girl a part of Rias and her peerage.
Mittelt looked up at Jin finally understanding what happened in the Occult Research Club meeting room. But then she smiled as she poked at Jin's cheek.
Mittelt: Someone has a thing for small girls~.
Jin: What?
Mittelt: What did you like about her? Her small innocent appearance~. Maybe her itty bitty titties~.
Mittelt giggled as she looked at Jins complete confusion. She knew it wasn't the case. She knew he liked Rias too and there was nothing itty bitty about her. But it was still fun to tease him about it.
Jin: She is adorable, but that's not it. Despite her very physical fighting style and demeanour. She's soft and gentle. I liked the way she cared for me in my fox form. She was there for me as much as I was there for her. Resting under that tree together was peaceful. Being with her was peaceful. I don't want to lose that. I don't want to lose her.
Jin said as Mittelt looked and understood. That was where he had been going all the time. To gently rest with a girl under a tree. Aika understood more than anything. Losing people was extremely hard and after all that Jin lost, he didn't want to lose anyone else.
Aika: You... You need to keep waiting under that tree for her. Even if she doesn't turn up, you need to keep waiting under that tree. You can't try and keep following her to apologise, you can't make up excuses. You just have to wait for her. The situation you were in was difficult and there were no right answers, you can only wait now. Wait for her to know you weren't resting there to take advantage of her, but because you actually like her.
Jin looked down at Aika surprised as he gave her a gentle kiss. Giving a small smile to her.
Jin: I... I can't believe you ever struggled with homework.
Aika: Hey! Understanding another woman is a lot easier than algebra!
Jin looked at Aika as he smiled gently. Causing her to blush slightly. But while this happened, Mittelt was looking at the both of them. Looking back at Jin.
Mittelt: Jin... You... You know I love you too right?
Jin looked at Mittelt as he gently smiled. Leaning down to kiss her softly as she blushed red. Parting the kiss he looked at her crimson face.
Jin: If making out with you wasn't enough, I definitely realised when you debated with yourself about leaving to have a family with me.
Mittelt went a ruby crimson as she held close to Jin, hiding her face in his body. Aika watched them and gave a small smile. Everything may have not gone according to plan, but she failed successfully. This end result was a lot better than what she had in mind.
Jin: Let's take it slow though. I don't want to rush my time with any of you.
Aika: I understand. But... what about Sona?
Jin: She... she isn't being forgiven so easily. When you disregarded my hard work, that didn't hurt me as much. But Sona disregarding it from the position she's in hurt more. She trampled on my hard work from a position of power. I can't forgive her easily for that, my respect for her has also changed.
Aika looked at Jin as she understood. Jin was out to protect the small in situations where they were abandoned. But financially Sona was the bigger one, trampling on those smaller than her. But for Aika, it hurt that her plan compromised the relationship between Jin and her, someone loved and one of her friends, Mittelt.
Aika: It... It won't have to make my friendship were her complicated right?
Jin: You can still very much be friends with her. But don't tell her. If she can't understand what she did wrong, she's not who I thought she was.
Mittelt: Well I'm not going to be friends with her until you forgive her Jin!
Jin gave a small sigh as Mittelt was slightly dramatic about what happened to Jin. But he didn't dislike it. Right now Jin could only focus on making his relationships with those he knew stronger and trying to recover one he ruined.
