Ch 38 - Supernatural Monster

Jin pulled the string. It was always something he shouldn't have touched unless he was in a dangerous situation. It was the red button that teased anyone just being there. Wanting to press it, wanting to touch it. But Jin withheld all this time. For 8 years he didn't touch it. He observed it sometimes but never touched the red button to what Ban would consider a nuclear warhead to Jin's life.

But now he pulled it. The nuclear warhead was set off and his entire life changed. Bursting into blue flames so intense it melted the concrete beneath him. It burned the hands on him to ash and made the monster back away. His body was filled with energy and changed. Energy he always had was released to flow through his body. It felt like pinpricks stabbing into his skin and muscles. Stabbing into his nerves and eyes. Pinpicks everywhere with an intense fire burning, yet flickering gently. The fire burned a deep blue and engulfed his body. But it was not burning him. The concrete was hot but despite it glowing and melting, it didn't feel hot to him anymore. His hands could touch it without burning, gripping the molten concrete in his hands.

But that wasn't the only thing he could feel different. It wasn't just the immense energy flowing through his body that changed. He felt something. There was something on his head and behind as he touched them.

Jin: {What the? Are these... fluffy ears and... tails?}

Jin felt his head as he shivered touching the two things on them. They were two golden fluffy fox ears. Behinds him, ripping his trousers slightly so they were out, he could feel many tails. Nine fluffy golden tails and as he looked behind, he could see they had a fox like appearance.

Jin: What th...

???: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU?!

???: HE WASN'T HUMAN?!

???: OF COURSE HE ISN'T HUMAN!

The beasts many mouths shouted at each other as they argued. All as Jin looked at his own body confused. But he remembered what Ban said, that pulling the string would permanently change his life.

Jin: {He... He knew?}

Then Jin remembered again, as if memories were flooding back to him because of his current situation. Remembering the important words Ban said.

Ban: Senjutsu if used propely can be one of the most dangerous powers anyone will know, on top of being very versitile in its non-conbative uses... I want you to know, even if you can't use these techniques I tell you now. Practice them. Because if you do pull on that string, they'll be of great help.

Jin looked at his hands, as one moment he was set ablaze, then the next moment the fire disappeared. He could sense it, the Ki in his body. The immense amount of Ki. Yet practicing the feelings of Senjutsu for so long, it felt completely natural to him. It was even more than that, it felt instinctive.

Jin: Ban, what am I?

The monster charged at Jin as it went to step on him. But Jin instinctively put his arm up sensing the movement of the monsters Ki. Holding it up despite not doing anything. His body was stronger now his energy was released. He wasn't using Senjutsu, naturally he was much stronger. Inhumanly so. Pushing back as the monster stumbled away.

Jin: Stop for a minute. Let me gather my thoughts.

???: YOU CAN DO THAT INSIDE OF ME!

The monster jumped up to devour Jin with its many mouths. But Jins fist was coated in a blue glow of energy. Ki. His fist weaving and waving like a river. Hitting the monster in the exact beat of his heart. Causing a shockwave that shook the very warehouse to a collapse and set the monster flying back. Jin standing among the wreckage as he looked at his fist. He didn't put any effort into the punch. He knew he was stronger, because of the power and went light in the punch. But it was still too much.

Jin: It... was all real. That monster I saw back then. The monster the lady saw. Ban... just who were you?

Jin looked at his hand as blue fire flickered from it. Looking at the monster slowly get up from the rubble. Looking back at his hand as he had an evil grin on his face. Fighting was always fun to him, he enjoyed hurting people. He didn't feel bad killing someone.

But now with monsters, magic, powers of his own. Things were going to get a lot more interesting.

???: What ha...

Instantly Jin appeared in front of the monster with Instant Movement. His hand in blue flames as he used Piercing Fang deep into the monster with a shockwave that made the monsters many mouths cough up blood and screech in pain.

Jin: What are you?

Jin asked curious if the monster could answer any of his questions. But its screams offered no hope as he sighed. Looking at the monster that burst into blue flames and burned to ash.

Jin looked back at his hands, clean but sighing.

Jin: *Sigh* My shopping. My sweets.

Jin hung his head as he walked back home. Forgetting something that had just happened.
