Ch 108 - Exposed

Azazel had taught Jin a lot, leaving Jin with much to think about, but every week, he knew he had more to learn from Azazel. Someone who knew way too much about sexual pleasure and relationships despite telling Jin he currently wasn't in one. But when Jin went home, Azazel also had somewhere to go. Grigori. Using a teleportation magic circle to appear in what seemed like a lab. Engineering, chemical science. It seemed like a mix of both. Picking up a pen and writing down on a notepad.

Azazel: Unusual control of energy within the body and passive adaptation to external stimuli. Enhanced cognitive development, unknown if from Sacred Gears adaptive abilities.

???: Who are you experimenting on now Azazel? Another weak Sacred Gear user that joined Girgori to seek refuge?

Someone behind Azazel said in an arrogant voice, as Azazel placed down his pen and looked at the notes he had written. Smirking he looked at the little data he could gain from the smallest moments with Jin. Jin had unknowingly drank alcohol meant for supernatural beings, but it didn't affect him whatsoever, even in the large quantities he drank it in. He adapted.

Azazel: You know better than anyone I don't experiment on people Vali. Besides, there's nothing weak with the interesting fox I'm hanging out with.

Vali: A fox?

Azazel looked around and leaned back on the desk cluttered with tools, and mechanical items of functions unknown, looking at Vali. Vali was a handsome young man with light silver hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing a dark green V-neck shirt with a high-collared black leather jacket over it. He wore burgundy jeans and a silver chain drooping down over them with black leather chaps with three bands encircling his right calf. His shoes were black, accompanied by black buckles.

Azazel: A Kitsune. A nine-tailed Kitsune to be exact.

Vali: A nine-tailed Kitsune? How did a Kitsune get their hands on a Sacred Gear?

Azazel: A human by the name of Ban gave it to him. I'm assuming this Ban must have found out the technique we use somehow. But the way Jin described it, this human adapted the technique so it worked using Senjutsu. On a similar principle to transferring energy. When they had the Sacred Gear, their body adapted to use Senjutsu which allowed this.

Vali looked at Azazel as he glanced at the notepad. Normally he wouldn't be so interested in Azazels work. He wouldn't be interested in someone weaker than him. But he had a strange curiosity about why Azazel took such interest in this Jin character.

Vali: If he's so strong, what's his Sacred Gear? Is it a Longinus?

Azazel: It isn't in the class, but if you're asking me if it's strong, I'd say it's as powerful as one. {Maybe more so with its limitless potential.}

Vali: It isn't in the Longinus class but it's as powerful as one? How is that possible?

Azazel smirked as he looked at Vali, who seemed to develop an annoyed face. Azazel was finding it interesting Vali was developing a curiosity about this. He also found it funny that someone who claimed power and strength didn't understand.

Azazel: The reason his Sacred Gear isn't in the Longinus class is because it's only one part of three. He has The First Head Of Hydra. Also known as the Original Head.

???: He... He has the First Head of the Original Hydra?!

A voice said with a blue glow coming from Valis's hand. A white metallic gauntlet with a large spherical blue jewel appeared on Valis's hand.

Azazel: Nice to chime in Albion. Tell me, do you still remember him?

Albion: How can I not remember that tree-hugging psychopath?!

Albion said as the blue jewel in the gauntlet pulsed blue to Albion's voice. The pulsing was just as intense as he was raising his voice. Albion was the thing inside of Valis Sacred Gear.

Vali: Albion? I've never heard of this Hydra before. Is it like other Hydras?

Albion: Not even close. The Hydras you know of are the Nine-Headed Hydras. They are monsters with deadly poison and an "immortal" bodies. The Hydras you know of are nothing but experiments to try and copy the original. The original Hydra, The Black Dragon of Despair or The Death Dragon. A Hydra with only three heads.

Vali: Three heads? Why so few?

Albion: You want that walking disaster to have more?!

Albion said as Vali was taken aback. Almost as if Albion was afraid of the original Hydra. But he had good reason to be. There was a reason it wasn't alive anymore and that wasn't because it was killed by someone weak.

Vali: So there's someone else out there with an extremely strong Sacred Gear like my own.

Albion: If you're thinking about taking him on, I recommend training some more. If it's only the original head, I'm confident we won't die. But we won't come out unscathed.

Azazel: Don't think too big of yourself now Albion. The combination of the Original Head on a Root of the World, well, I don't think it's a combination even you and Vali can beat.

Vali and Albion were both confused about what Azazel meant. But Azazel had found out something important about Jin. Something amazing and terrifying at the same time.

But at the same time, anyone else listening in on the conversation also found out something.

Something others needed to know about.
