Ch 194 - Underworld Dinner

Rias knew exactly where Jin's room would be placed. Wandering the halls, being greeted by Sitri mansion staff, Rias wandered these halls yet again. As Sonas' friend from when they were young, Rias had wandered all these halls before. She had seen these noble navy blue wallpapered walls and intricate patterned marble flooring. Each door she passed, she knew exactly what was on the other side. So while Hinata and Taiki were running around having fun, Rias took Jin and Koneko to his room.

Opening a certain door, it was easy to tell it was their room as Kunou was seen jumping on the bed. The bed which was the centrepiece of the room was massive. Impossibly large. Though it was around the same size as his own bed at home. Its design was large, meant to accommodate many people comfortably. The bed frame was carved from the same dark wood as the panelling, with delicate, swirling patterns that give it an elegant, timeless quality. The headboard rose high, padded in luxurious deep blue velvet, and silver buttons glistened in the warm light of the bedroom.

Silk sheets of midnight blue, plushes pillows and blankets. The bed looked just as comfortable as the one he had at home. Kunou agreed as she jumped around on it, despite being told she was in a separate room.

The large space of the room had walls of intricate, dark wood panelling, polished to a sheen. Just like the halls, the room they were in and Aika seemed to move the bags into was accented with rich tapestries of deep blues and purples, the colours of the Sitri family.

The room came full of furniture, all matching the aesthetic. Low tables, comfortable chairs and sofas and several wardrobes of dark wood. Everything was designed to be both functional and beautiful, contributing to the noble essence of the Sitri family. A large Clan within the Underworld and a family that could afford luxuries such as the ones in the room easily. It was as if the room was a personal sanctuary, a private world of comfort for the guests that came.

However, Rias was right, promptly after unpacking yet again, all of their stuff packed into wardrobes. Mr and Mrs Sitri welcomed Jin to their home. A lot more friendlier than the last time he saw them. Taken into a hug from both of them. They seemed a lot happier and Sona who was behind them seemed very embarrassed about how friendly her parents were being.

Rias was also correct as later, after she left, they were invited to dinner. However, it was not done without the most important guests. Mittelt, Aika, they came back. All ready for dinner.

They were all sitting in the dining room together. In the large room even bigger than Jin's massive guest bedroom, everyone sat at the table. With Kunou looking at the high ceilings above. Grand crystal chandeliers casting radiant warm lights.

At the end of the long polished dining table, the head of the table sat Mr Sitri. To his right sat his wife Mrs Sitri and to his left sat Sona. Jin sat next to Mrs Sitri on her right and Mittelt sat opposite Jin, separated by the fine wooden table, capable of seating dozens. Kunou as Jin's sister sat next to him and Aika was sat opposite her, watching the staff set down fine china, silver cutlery, and crystal glasses, each piece meticulously placed.

Just like the rest of the house, the floors were of polished marble, and the room was well decorated like all the other mansion halls, with pictures and paintings, tapestries and statues. The dining room was exceptional, but what separated it from the halls and other rooms was an unlit grand fireplace with a dark wooden and golden mantel above. Sat upon it were family heirlooms, family pictures and priceless artefacts.

In a moment, everyone's food was placed in front of them, covered by silver. Only to be revealed by the staff, pulling off the silver cover to reveal a glistening steak, seared perfectly with sides of salad and dressing.

Jin: Thank you.

Jin said to the staff as he smiled and gave a small nod. Walking off with the rest of the staff walking through the open door, Hinata coming through the open door pulling Taiki by his tail.
