Ch 45 - Progress

Jin was nearing the age of 15, and a lot changed. Though it had only been a few months since he gathered magic for Aika to learn. Though she was quick to try and learn. But she promised she wouldn't show it off to anyone. Practising her gymnastics and magic with Jin at the dojo instead of at home. Showing off her flexibility in her black leotard. She even showed off the magic she learned and had fun firing it against a barrier Jin made using Youjutsu.

But in those months, Aika wasn't the only one who had changed, so did Jin. He was taller again, seeming growing without stopping. His body was much more defined and as he was getting older he was gaining more muscle in his lean physique. He was getting stronger, faster and more skilled. He was getting more perceptive and his intelligence improved. But the one thing that improved the most, was his style.

Before he only wore long-sleeved black martial arts jumpsuits and light-colored pants like Ban. Wearing Tai Chi slippers just like Ban. But now his style evolved. In his trousers he had a slit made, not visible to the naked eye, but just enough so his tail could get out. But that wasn't the only thing that had changed. He was now also wearing a loose-hanging white kimono. One open and showing his figure-hugging black top. Open to show his light-coloured pants.

Jin: Now let's think. Stray devils are monstrous beings with foreign demonic power corrupting their bodies. It's a form of punishment and could be said to be the branding of a criminal. {If brandings transformed people into monsters.}

Jin turned into a small adorable fox as he walked along the building edge looking at the Kuoh Town lights thinking aloud.

Jin: But would they... what the hell?

Jin said in a voice very unsuiting of him. I was adorable. It still sounded like a boy, but it was high-pitched as if he was a much younger version of himself. An adorable version of himself.

Jin: {*Sigh* Well it's not like I can't live with it. I do look pretty cute.} Now where was I? Oh yes! But would they really abandon their punished... let's say monstrous criminals to roam the earth and devour people. Given that Stray Devils hide, it's not from weak humans or those who can use little bits of magic. Maybe their escapees. They're hunted. But I haven't seen a single devil around.

Jin hopped from one roof to another as he put one foot in front of the other. Strutting along the edge of the roof as he was in a busy part of town. Looking at the bustling streets.

Jin: I wonder if Ban made it to heaven. He doesn't deserve to go to hell. Hmmmm. I kinda want to see what an Angel looks like now. Is Ban an Angel now. I don't know. I also want to see Devils and Fallen Angels too. They're supposed to look human. But how human?

Jin jumped and pounced across the buildings in a certain direction. Spinning in the air as he jumped long.

Jin: Maybe I should just try and live a normal life. Isn't it what Ban and my guardian wanted from me.

Jin jumped from one roof. Then to another higher and higher. Jumping into the alley bellow as he transformed into a blue glow, flames bursting around him as he raised his fist, punching down on a monstrous skull in an explosion of blood that burned before it could land on his clothes. Spinning and landing on his feet as he took a deep breath out with a smile.

Jin: Yeah. I never want to live normally again. Oh I haven't showed Aika this form yet.

That thought from Jin, was a big mistake.

Time skip

Jin was in the dojo. Normally he would be training at this time. Performing his martial arts techniques and his different styles. If Aika was here, which she was, she would be practising magic and her gymnastics. But she was distracted. Very distracted.

Aika: You're so adorable!

Jin: Get off me you perv!

Jin had transformed into his small fox form. Trapped him in Aikas arms as she hugged and cuddled him. Treating him like a pet as she scruffled his ears and fur.

Aika: But you're just so cute!

Jin: I-I am not cute! N-No! Get your hand away from there!

Jin said in an adorable voice as she ruffled his underbelly. Unable to stop his leg from
twitching and his tails wagging.

Jin: UNHAND ME YOU TOUCHY PERV!

Jin shouted as Aika never stopped. Playing with Jin for hours as she ruffled his stomach and played with his fur. To show he this form was a bad idea from Jin.

He should have known what she would do.
