The dorm was buzzing with activity. The boys had just returned from a hectic schedule, and everyone was scattered around the living room, unwinding. Changbin, however, was on his phone, completely engrossed in whatever he was reading or watching. You had been trying to catch his attention all evening, but he seemed oblivious to your presence.
Feeling a little neglected, you tried to engage him in conversation. "Hey, Binnie, do you want to watch a movie with me?" you asked, hoping to lure him away from his phone.
"Uh, maybe later," he mumbled, not looking up from the screen.
You sighed, glancing around the room. Chan and Felix were deep in discussion about their next song, and the others were equally occupied. You really just wanted some time with Changbin, but he seemed glued to his device.
After a few more minutes of watching him ignore you, you decided to take a more direct approach. You stood up from the couch, walked over to where he was sitting, and without a word, slid onto his lap, straddling him. His eyes widened in surprise as you settled in, your arms wrapping around his neck.
"Y/N, what are you doing?" he asked, his voice a mix of amusement and confusion.
"I miss you," you pouted, resting your forehead against his. "You've been on your phone all evening."
Changbin blinked, the realization dawning on him. He set his phone down and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ignore you."
You smiled, feeling his warmth envelop you. "It's okay. I just wanted to be close to you."
He chuckled softly, his breath warm against your skin. "Well, you have my full attention now."
The boys around you noticed the shift and started to tease, making playful comments about how clingy you were being. "Get a room, you two!" Jisung called out, laughing.
"Yeah, we don't need to see this!" Hyunjin added, smirking.
You blushed, but Changbin only tightened his hold on you, pressing a kiss to your temple. "Jealous?" he retorted, making the others laugh even more.
Feeling more confident now that you had his attention, you leaned in and whispered in his ear, "How about that movie now?"
Changbin nodded, standing up with you still in his arms, causing you to squeal in surprise. "Alright, let's go. We'll be in my room if anyone needs us," he announced, carrying you towards his room.
As you settled on his bed, Changbin turned on the TV for a movie. He sat down beside you, pulling you into his lap once more. With his arms securely around you, you felt safe and content.
As the movie played, you snuggled closer, feeling his heartbeat against your back. He occasionally pressed kisses to your hair, murmuring sweet nothings that made your heart flutter.
Halfway through the movie, you turned to look at him. "I love you, Binnie," you said softly.
He smiled, his eyes filled with affection. "I love you too, Y/N. Thanks for reminding me to put the phone down."
You smiled back, feeling a warmth spread through you. "Anytime."
As the credits rolled and the night grew quieter, you knew that while there might be distractions and busy days, the moments you carved out for each other were what truly mattered. And as long as you had each other, everything else could wait.
