The evening air is crisp and cool, a perfect contrast to the warmth that fills your chest as you walk beside Chan. The city lights twinkle like stars above, reflecting off the glassy surface of the river that winds its way through the heart of the city. Chan's hand is firmly in yours, his thumb tracing soft circles on your skin, and you can't help but smile every time your eyes meet.

Tonight has been perfect, almost like a dream. From the moment he picked you up, dressed in a sleek black suit that made your heart race, you knew this night would be special. He had taken you to one of the city's most exclusive restaurants, a place you had always admired from afar but never imagined you'd actually step into. The interior was all soft lighting and elegant decor, the atmosphere intimate and romantic.

Dinner was exquisite, each course more delicious than the last. But as wonderful as the food was, it paled in comparison to the way Chan looked at you throughout the meal, his eyes filled with a tenderness that made your heart skip a beat. You spent the evening laughing, reminiscing, and talking about everything and nothing at all. It was the kind of conversation that felt effortless, the words flowing as naturally as the love between you.

After dinner, Chan suggested a walk along the river, and you agreed without hesitation. Now, as you stroll hand in hand along the water's edge, the city bustling around you, you can't imagine a more perfect night.

"Did you have a good time?" Chan asks, his voice soft and full of affection.

You turn to him, your smile widening. "I had the best time," you reply, squeezing his hand. "Everything was perfect. Thank you for tonight, Chan."

He grins, his dimples making an appearance, and it's a sight that never fails to make your heart flutter. "I'm glad. I wanted tonight to be special."

"It really was," you say, leaning into him as you continue your walk. "I don't think I've ever felt this happy."

Chan's smile softens, and he stops walking, gently tugging you to a halt. You turn to face him, slightly confused by the sudden pause, but when you see the way he's looking at you, all your questions fade away.

"Y/N," he begins, his voice steady but full of emotion, "there's something I've been wanting to ask you for a while now."

Your heart starts to race as he reaches into his pocket, pulling out a small, velvet box. He takes a deep breath, and then, with a soft smile, he gets down on one knee.

Time seems to stand still as he looks up at you, his eyes shining with a mix of love and hope. "I've loved you for so long, and every day with you has made me realize just how lucky I am. You're my best friend, my partner, the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. So... will you marry me?"

Tears well up in your eyes as you take in the sight of him, kneeling there with that beautiful ring in his hand, waiting for your answer. You can hardly believe this is happening—it feels like a scene out of a movie, too perfect to be real.

But it is real. And as you look into his eyes, filled with all the love and warmth that you've always felt for him, there's only one answer you could ever give.

"Yes," you whisper, your voice breaking with emotion. Then, louder, with all the happiness in your heart, "Yes, Chan, I'll marry you!"

His face breaks into the most beautiful smile you've ever seen, and he quickly slips the ring onto your finger before standing up and pulling you into his arms. You're both laughing and crying, holding each other close as the reality of what just happened sinks in.

"I can't believe this," you say, your voice full of awe as you pull back slightly to look at him, your hand still in his. "This night has been perfect, and now... this."

Chan chuckles, his hands gently cupping your face as he leans in to press a soft kiss to your lips. "I wanted it to be perfect for you," he murmurs against your lips. "You deserve nothing less."

You smile against his lips, your heart overflowing with love. "It was more than perfect. I'm so happy, Chan."

"Me too," he replies, his voice just as soft. "I can't wait to start this next chapter with you."

And with that, he kisses you again, under the glow of the city lights and the stars above. It's a kiss that seals a promise, a future filled with love and happiness, and as you hold each other close, you know that this is just the beginning of a beautiful journey together.
