The day had already been a disaster from the moment you woke up. You'd been late for work, spilled coffee on your favorite shirt, and gotten caught in the rain without an umbrella. By the time you got home, all you wanted was to sink into the couch and enjoy the leftovers you'd been looking forward to all day. You had even written your name on the container to make sure no one else touched it.

But when you opened the fridge, your heart dropped. The container was gone. Panic set in as you frantically searched every shelf, hoping you'd somehow missed it. But there was no mistaking it—your leftovers were gone.

And that's when you heard it: the sound of someone behind you, happily munching away. You turned around slowly, dread creeping up your spine, and there he was—Jeongin, sitting at the table, finishing the very meal you'd been dreaming about.

"Jeongin..." Your voice wavered, barely able to hold back the frustration. "Was that... my food?"

Jeongin looked up, his expression immediately turning sheepish when he saw the look on your face. "Oh... this was yours?" he asked, as if he hadn't seen the clearly labeled container. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I didn't realize..."

But before he could finish his apology, the weight of the day came crashing down on you all at once. The excitement you'd felt about that one small comfort—your favorite meal, waiting for you at home—had been the only thing keeping you going. And now, it was gone.

Tears welled up in your eyes, and you couldn't stop them from spilling over. "I was really looking forward to that, Jeongin," you said, your voice breaking as you tried to keep it together. But it was too much. "It was the only good thing I had today, and now it's gone."

Jeongin's eyes widened in alarm as he quickly set down the container, rushing over to you. "Y/N, I'm so sorry. I didn't know... I really didn't mean to make you upset."

But you were already crying, the frustration and exhaustion of the day finally overwhelming you. You turned away, trying to hide your tears, but Jeongin wasn't having it. He gently took your hands, pulling you into a hug despite your weak protests.

"I'm really sorry," he whispered, holding you close as you cried into his chest. "I didn't realize how much it meant to you. Please don't cry."

For a moment, you just let yourself cry, feeling embarrassed but also too tired to stop. Jeongin's arms around you were warm and comforting, and slowly, your sobs started to quiet. When you finally pulled back, sniffling, Jeongin looked at you with genuine concern.

"Okay," he said softly, brushing a tear from your cheek. "I know I messed up, and I want to make it right. How about this—we go out for dinner? Anywhere you want, my treat. We'll make tonight better, I promise."

You looked up at him, still feeling a bit teary-eyed, but the sincerity in his expression made it hard to stay upset. "You don't have to do that, Jeongin..."

"But I want to," he insisted, giving you a small, encouraging smile. "It's the least I can do after ruining your leftovers. Besides, it'll be fun! Just you and me, let's make it a date."

You hesitated for a moment, still feeling the lingering disappointment, but the idea of going out with Jeongin, of doing something to take your mind off the day's disasters, started to sound more appealing. He was trying so hard to make up for his mistake, and the thought of spending time with him—just the two of you—began to lift your spirits.

"Okay," you finally agreed, managing a small smile. "Let's do it."

Jeongin's face lit up, and he quickly grabbed your coat, helping you into it as if he couldn't get you out the door fast enough. "You won't regret it," he promised, leading you outside.

And he was right. The night out with Jeongin was exactly what you needed. He took you to one of your favorite restaurants, made sure you ordered all your favorite dishes, and spent the evening making you laugh until you'd almost forgotten why you were upset in the first place.

By the time the night was over, you felt lighter, the day's troubles far behind you. Jeongin walked you back home, holding your hand and telling you silly stories to keep you smiling. And as you stood outside your door, he pulled you into another hug, this time pressing a kiss to your forehead.

"I'm really sorry about earlier, Y/N," he said again, his voice soft and sincere. "I'll make sure to always check before eating anything in the fridge from now on."

You laughed softly, feeling touched by how much he cared. "It's okay, Jeongin. You made up for it. Tonight was perfect."

Jeongin grinned, relieved, and gave you one last hug before saying goodnight.
