Ever since you were little, Changbin had always been by your side. From the moment you first met on the playground, he had claimed you as his best friend and, with the confidence only a child could possess, promised that one day he would marry you.

"I'm going to marry you, Y/N," he'd said with a determined nod, his tiny hand gripping yours. You'd laughed back then, but he said it so often over the years that it became a part of your bond, a promise woven into the fabric of your friendship.

Whenever he looked at you with admiration, he would remind you of that promise. After a school play where you starred as the princess, or when you helped him through a tough math problem, or simply when the two of you were lying in the grass, staring up at the sky. "One day, you'll be my bride," he would say, and you would smile, your heart fluttering with each repetition.

As you both grew older, the promise never wavered, though neither of you had ever spoken of it seriously. It was something you both held onto, a playful vow rooted in the innocence of childhood but felt deeply in your heart. The bond between you and Changbin only strengthened as the years passed, and though the words were always spoken lightly, you both knew there was a truth behind them.

One afternoon, Changbin's sister, Jaehee, suggested an outing. She had a mischievous smile on her face as she asked if you wanted to go shopping.

"You know, it'd be fun to pretend we're planning a wedding and try on some dresses," she teased, her eyes sparkling with excitement. You laughed, thinking it would be a silly, light-hearted way to spend the day.

"Sure, why not?" you agreed, not realizing just how much the day would change everything.

The two of you arrived at the bridal boutique, and Jaehee immediately began pulling dresses off the racks, excitedly urging you to try them on. The first few dresses were beautiful, but none of them felt right. They were too grand, too ornate, too far removed from the simple, heartfelt day you imagined with Changbin.

Then, you saw it.

A gown tucked away at the back of the boutique caught your eye. It was elegant yet understated, with delicate lace sleeves and a flowing skirt that seemed to float with each step you took. As soon as you slipped into it and caught sight of yourself in the mirror, your breath caught in your throat.

This was it. This was the dress you wanted to wear when you finally said, "I do," to the boy who had been promising to marry you for as long as you could remember.

You stepped out of the dressing room, and Jaehee's eyes widened. "Oh my God, Y/N," she whispered, her voice filled with awe. "You look... perfect."

You turned back to the mirror, and for a moment, you allowed yourself to imagine what it would be like to walk down the aisle towards Changbin, the love of your life, in this very dress. The thought made your heart race with joy and anticipation.
