You and Jeongin had been dating for a little while now, and tonight was supposed to be special. He had been planning this evening for days, promising to cook you a romantic dinner at the dorm, followed by a cozy movie night. He was excited, and so were you, especially because he assured you that it would be just the two of you—the perfect chance to spend some quality time together without any interruptions.
As you both stepped inside, Jeongin seemed confident. "The guys are all out tonight," he said with a smile, holding your hand as he led you toward the kitchen. "We've got the place to ourselves." You haven't met his band mates yet and so you didn't have to be nervous at all to visit him at the dorm.
You smiled back, already imagining how nice it would be to have a peaceful evening with him. As Jeongin started gathering ingredients and setting up to cook, you leaned against the counter, enjoying the atmosphere. It was just you and him, the soft hum of the refrigerator, and the promise of a quiet, intimate night.
Or so you thought.
Just as Jeongin started chopping some vegetables, the kitchen door creaked open, and in walked Seungmin, holding an empty glass. He looked around the kitchen as if he had just stepped into a different world.
"Hey, Jeongin," Seungmin greeted nonchalantly, heading straight to the sink.
Jeongin blinked in surprise. "Seungmin? What are you doing here? I thought you were out."
Seungmin shrugged, rinsing his glass as if it was the most natural thing in the world. "Oh, I was, but I came back to check if the tap water still works."
Jeongin raised an eyebrow, confused. "The tap water?"
"Yeah, you know, just making sure it's still... wet," Seungmin replied, his expression dead serious.
You couldn't help but stifle a laugh. The situation was already starting to feel ridiculous, and Seungmin's straight-faced delivery only made it funnier.
Seungmin glanced over at you and gave a nod. "You must be Y/N. Jeongin talks about you a lot."
You smiled politely. "That's me. Nice to meet you, Seungmin."
With a satisfied nod, Seungmin left the kitchen, leaving Jeongin standing there, clearly flustered.
"Uh... sorry about that," Jeongin mumbled, turning back to the stove. "I really thought they'd all be out."
Before you could reassure him, the door opened again, and Hyunjin walked in, holding spoon. He didn't even acknowledge you both as he walked over to the fridge and opened it, peering inside.
Jeongin's eyes widened in disbelief. "Hyunjin? What are you doing here?"
Hyunjin glanced over at Jeongin, holding up the spoon as if it explained everything. "Oh, I just came to check if the fridge light is strong enough to see my reflection in the spoon."
