You were leaning against the kitchen counter, lost in your own world as you scrolled through your phone. The hum of the refrigerator and the soft light filtering through the curtains made the moment feel cozy and calm, like a quiet pause in the day. You didn't hear Felix come in, so when you finally noticed him standing in front of you, it caught you just a little off guard.

He was just a step away, close enough that you could feel the warmth radiating off him. His eyes were locked on yours, his usual bright smile replaced with a look that made your heart skip a beat. There was something different in his expression—a mix of focus and intensity that sent a shiver down your spine.

"Hey," you started to say, but the words got stuck in your throat as he reached out, his hands sliding around your waist. In one smooth motion, Felix lifted you onto the counter, his strength surprising you as you let out a small gasp. The cold surface met the backs of your thighs, grounding you in the moment, but your attention was entirely on him.

He stepped closer, his body fitting perfectly between your knees as he placed his hands on either side of you, caging you in. His face was inches from yours, and you couldn't help but notice the slight furrow in his brow, the way his lips were just barely pouted. It was a look you rarely saw on him—intense, almost brooding—and it made your pulse quicken.

Felix didn't say a word. Instead, he gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear, his fingers brushing your cheek with a tenderness that contrasted sharply with the heat in his gaze. You barely had time to react before he closed the distance between you, his lips capturing yours in a kiss that was deep and full of unspoken emotion.

The kiss was different—there was no hesitation, no holding back. It was as if he was pouring every ounce of feeling into it, and you couldn't help but respond in kind. Your arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer as your lips moved against his. Felix's hands tightened on your waist, anchoring you to him as the world outside the two of you seemed to fade away.

When he finally pulled back, you were both breathless, your forehead resting against his as you tried to steady your racing heart. His eyes, still half-lidded and dark with desire, met yours, and that familiar mischievous glint was back.

"What was that for?" you asked, your voice coming out a little shaky as you tried to catch your breath.

Felix just smiled, his lips quirking up into a playful grin. But he didn't answer immediately. Instead, he leaned in and pressed a soft, lingering kiss to your forehead, his hands still holding you close.

"For you," he finally murmured, his voice low and teasing as he pulled back just enough to look at you. "Do I need a reason?"

You blinked, a mix of confusion and affection swirling inside you. "I guess not," you replied, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips as you tried to understand what had just happened.

Felix chuckled, his hands gently squeezing your waist before he finally stepped back, his expression softening as he looked at you with that signature warmth you knew so well. "Good," he said, his voice light, but the intensity of the moment still lingered in the air between you.

As you watched him walk away, a sense of warmth and confusion settled in your chest. Felix had a way of keeping you on your toes, of surprising you when you least expected it, and even though you didn't fully understand his reasons, you couldn't help but smile. Because with him, those little mysteries were part of what made being with him so special.
