Changbin had always prided himself on being level-headed, even when the stakes were high. But ever since he met you, his cool composure had started to slip, especially whenever you were around. The crush that started with stolen glances and lingering smiles had quickly spiraled into something deeper, something that occupied his thoughts day and night.
You had gone out a few times already—nothing too serious, just casual dates that felt more like spending time with a close friend. Yet, every time he held your hand, a jolt of electricity shot through him, making him crave more. But despite the connection between you, nothing beyond holding hands had happened, and it left him wanting.
He couldn't stop thinking about it—the way your lips would feel against his, how you might react, how your breath would mix with his. It was driving him to the edge of his patience. He knew he couldn't hold back any longer. The next time he saw you, he was going to kiss you. He'd made up his mind.
His bandmates noticed the shift in him almost immediately. He wasn't good at hiding his excitement, and it was all too clear something big was on his mind.
"Changbin, you've been grinning like an idiot all day," Hyunjin teased, plopping down on the couch beside him. "What's going on?"
"Yeah, what's up with you?" Felix chimed in, eyeing him with a knowing look. "You've got that 'I'm in love' face."
Changbin tried to play it cool, but the flush on his cheeks gave him away. "It's nothing... I'm just excited to see Y/N later."
Chan, sitting across from him, raised an eyebrow. "Excited, huh? More than usual?"
Changbin hesitated for a moment, but then a slow smile spread across his face. "Okay, fine. I'm planning to kiss her tonight."
That confession was met with a chorus of whoops and cheers from his bandmates, their excitement matching his own.
"Finally!" Han exclaimed, leaning forward with a grin. "What took you so long?"
"I just wanted to make sure the timing was right," Changbin explained, though he was grinning like a fool now. "But I'm done waiting. It feels right now."
Chan clapped him on the back, his smile warm. "Good for you, man. Go get her."
With their encouragement fueling his confidence, Changbin couldn't wait to see you. That evening, when he finally met up with you, his heart was racing with a mix of nerves and excitement. You looked as stunning as always, and the moment he saw you, all his doubts vanished.
You spent the evening walking through the city, talking and laughing like you always did. But tonight, there was an undercurrent of tension, a feeling that something was different, that something more was about to happen. Changbin could feel it in the way your hands brushed together, in the way your eyes met and lingered a little too long.
As the night drew to a close, you found yourselves standing on a quiet street corner, the city lights casting a soft glow around you. Changbin knew this was it—the perfect moment he'd been waiting for. His heart pounded in his chest as he turned to face you, his hand still holding yours.
"Y/N," he began, his voice slightly shaky but full of intent. "There's something I've been wanting to do for a while now..."
You looked up at him, your eyes wide with anticipation, and for a moment, the world seemed to hold its breath. Changbin took a step closer, his free hand reaching up to gently cup your cheek, his thumb brushing lightly across your skin.
"I've been thinking about this for so long," he whispered, his gaze dropping to your lips before returning to your eyes.
Then, before you could respond, he leaned in, closing the distance between you. The moment his lips met yours, it was like time stood still. The kiss started soft, almost hesitant, as if he was savoring the feel of your lips, the warmth of your breath mingling with his. His hand cradled your face, holding you delicately as if you were something precious.
But as you kissed him back, that initial hesitation melted away. The kiss deepened, growing more urgent, more passionate. Changbin's fingers tightened around yours, the thumb of his other hand tracing gentle circles on your cheek as his lips moved against yours with increasing fervor. He tilted his head slightly, pressing closer, needing to feel more of you.
Your free hand found its way to his chest, fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt as you pulled him closer, not wanting any space between you. Changbin responded instantly, his arms wrapping around you, holding you tight against him as the kiss intensified. It was as if every pent-up emotion, every longing glance, every touch that had gone unfulfilled, was pouring into this one kiss.
He could feel your heartbeat matching the frantic pace of his own, and it fueled his desire even more. The taste of you was intoxicating, and he couldn't get enough. He kissed you like he was drowning, and you were the only thing that could save him, pouring everything he had into this one, perfect moment.
When you finally pulled apart, both of you were breathless, your foreheads resting against each other as you tried to steady your racing hearts. Changbin's eyes fluttered open, and he gazed at you with a mixture of awe and disbelief, as if he couldn't believe this was real.
"I've wanted to kiss you for so long," he confessed, his voice low and filled with emotion.
You smiled, your own breath still coming in short gasps as you looked up at him. "I'm glad you did."
Changbin's lips curved into a soft smile, his thumb brushing over your bottom lip as if to memorize the feel of it. "Me too," he whispered, leaning in to steal another quick, sweet kiss. "I don't think I could have waited any longer."
You laughed softly, your heart swelling with warmth as you leaned into him, resting your head against his chest. "Good, because I don't want you to."
And as he held you there, under the glow of the city lights, Changbin knew without a doubt that this was just the beginning. The craving he had for you, the overwhelming need to be near you, was finally being fulfilled, and he couldn't wait to see where it would lead next.
