You woke up that morning with a dull ache in your lower abdomen, immediately recognizing the all-too-familiar sensation. With a sigh, you realized your period had arrived. You texted Lee Know, who was out running errands, to ask if he could pick up a few things on his way back. As always, he responded almost instantly, eager to help.
"Of course, anything you need!" Lee Know texted back, followed by a string of heart and cat emojis. You smiled at his enthusiasm and sent him a short list of items like pads, and painkillers.
However, when Lee Know walked into the store and found himself standing in front of the feminine hygiene aisle, his confidence quickly wavered. There were so many options: pads with wings, without wings, tampons of all sizes, panty liners, and even menstrual cups. He picked up a pack of pads, squinting at the label, only to put it back down in confusion. He had no idea which one you used, let alone what all the different labels meant.
After a few minutes of staring blankly at the shelves, feeling more lost than ever, he decided to swallow his pride and ask for help. He approached a nearby employee, a friendly-looking woman who was stocking a shelf.
"Um, excuse me?" Lee Know said, a bit nervously. "I'm trying to buy some things for my girlfriend, but, uh...I have no idea what I'm doing."
The woman turned to him with a kind smile. "Of course! What are you looking for?"
"Well, she asked me to get some, uh, pads and things like that," Lee Know explained, glancing back toward the aisle he'd just come from. "But there are so many different kinds. I don't know which ones to get."
The woman chuckled softly, clearly endeared by his effort. "Does she usually use pads, tampons, or something else?"
Lee Know blinked, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink. "Um... I'm not sure. I didn't really ask, but she said to get pads," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck.
"No worries," the woman said, amused. "Do you know if she prefers a specific brand or size?"
Lee Know shifted uncomfortably. "I... don't know that either," he confessed, feeling even more flustered. "You know what? I think I'll just get one of everything."
The woman's eyes widened slightly in surprise before she burst out laughing, clearly charmed by his determination. "That's one way to do it," she said, grinning. "You're a good boyfriend, you know that?"
Lee Know managed a sheepish smile. "I just want to make sure she's comfortable," he said earnestly.
"Then you're definitely doing the right thing," the woman assured him, helping him load his basket with a variety of products. As they walked to the checkout, she continued to chat with him, offering tips on what might be most helpful. "Oh, and don't forget some chocolate or snacks. That always helps!"
Lee Know nodded eagerly, adding a few of your favorite treats to the basket. As they reached the register, the woman couldn't stop smiling. "You're going to make her very happy," she said as she began to ring up the items.
Lee Know grinned, his initial embarrassment fading as he thought about how much better you'd feel when he got home. "That's the plan."
As she scanned each item—pads, tampons, painkillers, snacks, and even a heating pad—the woman couldn't help but comment again. "I have to say, you're the first guy I've seen who's just bought one of everything," she said, clearly still amused. "It's adorable."
Lee Know blushed again but smiled proudly. "I just want to make sure she has everything she might need."
The woman handed him the receipt, still grinning. "You're a keeper. She's lucky to have you."
Lee Know thanked her, grabbing the bags and practically running out of the store. He hurried back to the dorm, eager to return to you.
When he arrived, you were curled up on the couch, trying to find a comfortable position. He rushed over, dropping the bags in front of you with a wide grin. "I got everything you might need!" he announced, his voice full of excitement.
You looked into the bags, your eyes widening as you saw just how much he had bought. "Lee Know... You really didn't have to get all of this," you said, laughing softly.
He shrugged, sitting down beside you. "I didn't know what you used, so I figured I'd get one of everything," he admitted, still slightly embarrassed.
You leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, your heart swelling with affection. "You're amazing, you know that?"
Lee Know beamed, wrapping an arm around you and pulling you close. "I just want you to feel better," he said softly, kissing the top of your head.
With Lee Know by your side, you knew you were in good hands. As you snuggled into his warmth, surrounded by the care he'd put into his shopping trip, you couldn't help but feel incredibly loved and grateful.
