The bar was buzzing with energy, neon lights casting a colorful glow over the lively crowd. You were out with Han and the rest of the members, celebrating a successful week. The drinks were flowing, and laughter filled the air as you all shared stories and jokes.
You and Han were particularly close that night, your hand intertwined with his as you leaned into him, enjoying his warmth and presence. You were both having a great time, but Han was more reserved, focusing on you while occasionally chatting with the others.
At one point, you excused yourself to grab another round of drinks for the group. As you stood at the bar, waiting for the bartender to notice you, a guy sidled up next to you. He was tall, with a confident smile and a glint in his eye.
"Hey there," he said smoothly, leaning against the bar. "Can I buy you a drink?"
You offered him a polite smile, pointing at your table. "Thanks, but I'm here with my boyfriend."
The guy glanced over at the table where Han was sitting, then shrugged, undeterred. "Boyfriend, huh? He must be something special to deserve someone like you. But I bet I could show you a better time."
You felt a wave of discomfort wash over you, but before you could respond, Han appeared at your side, his expression dark and protective. "She said she's with her boyfriend," he said firmly, his eyes locked on the guy.
The guy barely glanced at Han, his smirk widening. "And who are you? Her bodyguard?"
Han's jaw clenched, and you could see the fire in his eyes, a glimpse of pre-debut Han ready to surface. He took a step forward, his voice low and dangerous. "I'm her boyfriend, and you need to back off."
The guy raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by Han's intensity. "Relax, man. No need to get worked up."
You placed a hand on Han's chest, feeling the tension radiate from him. "Han, let's just go back to our table. He's not worth it."
But the guy continued to push, ignoring your attempt to defuse the situation. "What's the matter, buddy? Afraid she might realize she can do better?"
Han's eyes flashed with anger, and he took another step forward. "You don't know anything about us. Now, walk away before I make you."
Before things could escalate further, Chan and Changbin appeared, having noticed the confrontation from their table. "Is there a problem here?" Chan asked, his tone calm but firm.
The guy looked at the group now surrounding him and decided he wasn't going to win this one. He backed off, raising his hands in mock surrender. "No problem. Enjoy your night."
As he walked away, Chan turned to Han, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You okay, man?"
Han nodded, but his expression was still tense. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just didn't like how he was talking to Y/N."
You looked up at Han, your heart aching at the sight of his distress. "Thank you for standing up for me," you said softly.
He sighed, wrapping an arm around you protectively. "I'll always stand up for you."
You pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek. "You handled it well. Let's go back to our table and enjoy the rest of the night."
Han nodded, his expression softening as he led you back to the table. The others greeted you with concerned smiles, but soon the mood lightened as you all returned to your conversations and laughter.
Throughout the night, Han kept a close eye on you, his arm never straying far from your waist. You could tell he was still on edge, but he tried his best to relax and enjoy the evening.
As the night drew to a close and you all made your way out of the bar, Han pulled you aside, his eyes searching yours. "I'm sorry if I scared you back there," he said quietly.
You shook your head, cupping his face in your hands. "You didn't scare me, Han. You protected me. And I love you for that."
He smiled, his eyes softening with relief and love. "I love you too, Y/N. I just want to keep you safe."
You leaned in, pressing your forehead against his. "And you do. Always."
With that reassurance, Han's tension finally melted away, and he pulled you into a tight embrace. As you walked home, hand in hand, you knew that no matter what challenges came your way, you and Han would face them together, stronger than ever.
