After a whirlwind week of meetings, presentations, and late-night work sessions, your business trip ends earlier than expected. You can't wait to surprise your boyfriend, Jeongin, who thinks you'll be gone for another week. Excitement bubbles within you as you board the flight home, already planning the look of surprise on his face.
The plane touches down and you make your way to the dorm. Knowing the boys are still at practice, you use the spare key Jeongin gave you to let yourself in. The familiar scent and the comforting messiness of the dorm bring a smile to your face. You tiptoe to Jeongin's room, set your luggage down quietly, and lay down on his bed after changing into some of his clothes.
The exhaustion from the trip hits you all at once as you sink into the softness of his sheets. You breathe in his scent, the familiarity calming your racing heart. Planning to just rest your eyes for a moment, you drift off into a deep, jet-lagged sleep.
A few hours later, Jeongin and the other boys arrive back at the dorm, hungry and tired from practice. Jeongin heads straight to his room, eager for a shower and some rest. As he opens the door, he stops in his tracks, blinking in surprise.

Unable to resist, he leans down and presses a soft kiss to your forehead. You slowly wake up, blinking sleepily as you register his presence.
"Jeongin?" you mumble, still half-asleep. "Surprise."
His face breaks into a wide grin. "Y/N! What are you doing here? I thought you had another week!"
You smile, reaching up to touch his face. "The trip ended early. I wanted to surprise you."
Jeongin pulls you into a tight embrace, his joy palpable. "This is the best surprise ever. I missed you so much."
You melt into his embrace, feeling all the exhaustion and stress of the past week wash away. "I missed you too."
He pulls back slightly, his eyes shining with happiness. "How was the trip?"
You shrug, leaning your forehead against his. "It was good, but I couldn't stop thinking about coming home to you."
Jeongin's heart swells with love. "I'm so glad you're back. Do you want to rest some more, or should we go join the others?"
You yawn, feeling the weight of sleep pulling at you again. "Can we just stay here for a bit? I'm still really tired."
He chuckles softly, brushing his lips against yours. "Of course. Get some rest. I'll be right here with you."
You curl up next to him, your head resting on his chest as his arms wrap around you protectively. The rhythm of his heartbeat lulls you back to sleep, feeling completely safe and loved.
Jeongin watches you as you drift off, a content smile on his face. He kisses the top of your head, whispering, "I love you, Y/N."
As you sleep peacefully in his arms, Jeongin feels like the luckiest person in the world. This unexpected reunion has turned an ordinary day into something extraordinary, and he knows that with you by his side, everything is just perfect.
