You and Felix have been best friends for as long as you can remember. There's always been something easy about your friendship—an unspoken understanding that you've got each other's backs, no matter what. Whether it's a late-night gaming session, sharing your favorite desserts, or just hanging out, it's always been effortless, natural.

Somewhere along the way, the two of you developed a little routine. It wasn't anything planned or even talked about—it just happened. Whenever you were feeling down, stressed, or even just a little off, Felix would lean in and press a soft, lingering kiss to your forehead. It started as a comforting gesture, something to soothe you, but it quickly became something you both cherished.

You'd never given it much thought beyond that. It was just Felix being Felix—sweet, affectionate, always knowing how to make you feel better. You didn't realize it might be something more until one afternoon, when the two of you were hanging out at the dorm with the rest of the guys.

The day had been a long one, filled with back-to-back schedules and the usual chaos that came with being an idol. By the time you arrived at the dorm, you were exhausted, both physically and mentally. Felix noticed immediately, his sharp eyes picking up on the way your shoulders slumped and the tired look in your eyes.

Without a word, he walked over to you, a soft smile on his face. "Rough day?" he asked quietly.

You nodded, letting out a small sigh. "Yeah, just one of those days."

Felix's smile turned sympathetic, and before you knew it, he was wrapping his arms around you in a warm hug. You melted into the embrace, feeling the tension in your body start to ease. After a moment, he pulled back just enough to tilt your head up slightly, his hand resting gently on your cheek.

And then, like he'd done so many times before, he leaned in and pressed a tender kiss to your forehead, his lips lingering there for a few seconds longer than necessary. It was soft, sweet, and full of a warmth that made your heart flutter in your chest.

When he pulled back, he gave you one of his trademark grins, his freckles dancing across his cheeks. "Better?"

You smiled, feeling the last of your stress melt away. "Much better. Thanks, Lixie."

Just as you were about to say something else, you heard a snort from the other side of the room. You both turned to see Lee Know standing there, arms crossed, an incredulous look on his face.

"Seriously?" Lee Know said, raising an eyebrow. "Forehead kisses? You two are unbelievable."

You blinked, caught off guard by the sudden interruption. "What? What's wrong with a forehead kiss?"

Lee Know rolled his eyes, walking over to you and Felix. "It's not the kiss itself, it's the fact that you two are clearly in denial."

Felix tilted his head, confusion written all over his face. "Denial about what?"

"About the fact that you're obviously more than just best friends," Lee Know said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "You're out here giving each other these ridiculously soft, lingering forehead kisses like some kind of K-drama couple, and you don't even realize how obvious it is?"

You felt your cheeks heat up at his words, glancing at Felix to see if he was as flustered as you were. He wasn't. Instead, Felix looked thoughtful, like Lee Know's words had just made something click in his mind.

"We're not in denial," you started to protest, but Lee Know cut you off with a wave of his hand.

"Oh, come on," Lee Know said, exasperated. "You might not be dating, but you might as well be. You've got all the signs—caring about each other more than anyone else, always being there for one another, the way you look at each other when you think no one's watching. It's cute, but also frustrating because everyone can see it except you two."

Felix was quiet for a moment, and when he finally spoke, his voice was soft, almost contemplative. "So, you think we should... get together?"

Lee Know threw his hands up in the air, as if he couldn't believe how slow the two of you were. "Yes! You should have gotten together ages ago. It's like watching the slowest burn in history."

Felix looked at you then, really looked at you, and suddenly, you felt the weight of his gaze in a way you hadn't before. There was something new in his eyes, something you couldn't quite place but that made your heart beat faster.

"What do you think?" Felix asked you, his voice gentle but serious. "Should we?"

You swallowed, trying to make sense of the emotions swirling in your chest. Felix had always been your best friend, your rock, the person you turned to no matter what. But now, standing here with him, Lee Know's words hanging in the air, you realized there might be something more.

Maybe there had always been something more.

You took a deep breath, giving him a small smile. "Yeah, I think we should."

Felix's face lit up, his eyes crinkling at the corners in that way that always made your heart skip a beat. "Then it's settled."

Lee Know let out a dramatic sigh of relief. "Finally. Now I can sleep at night knowing you two have stopped pretending."

You laughed, the sound light and carefree, as if a weight had been lifted from your shoulders. Felix chuckled too, and before you knew it, he was pulling you into another hug, his arms wrapping around you tightly.

This time, when he pressed a kiss to your forehead, it felt different. It wasn't just a comforting gesture between best friends—it was something more, something deeper. And you knew that from now on, things would never be the same between you and Felix.

But as you rested your head against his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart, you realized that was exactly how it should be.
