You and Changbin had made a decision. It wasn't a proud decision, but it was one born out of necessity. The two of you had been craving takeout for days, and after the last couple of attempts to order food had been foiled by the other boys swooping in and stealing bites—or, worse, finishing the entire meal—you'd decided this time would be different.
This time, it was war.
It started with a secret glance across the living room. The other boys were scattered around, some playing video games, others scrolling through their phones, completely oblivious. You caught Changbin's eye from the kitchen, where he was pretending to make a snack. He raised an eyebrow in question, and you gave a subtle nod in response.
It's go time.
With the plan in place, Changbin quietly ordered from your favorite takeout place, keeping his phone screen out of sight as he scrolled through the options. You could see the gears turning in his mind as he carefully considered each dish—enough for the two of you, but not so much that it would raise suspicion if anyone happened to catch a glimpse.
"Order placed," he whispered to you, barely audible over the hum of conversation and the sound of Hyunjin's character dying in the game he was playing with Felix. You grinned, excitement bubbling in your chest.
Now came the hard part: waiting for the delivery and keeping the mission under wraps. You both pretended to be occupied, you scrolling through social media and Changbin chatting casually with the others, all while your eyes darted to the clock every few minutes. Every sound outside the door made your heart race, wondering if the delivery driver was about to blow your cover.
When the text arrived saying the food was on its way, you and Changbin exchanged another look. Time to move.
"I'm just going to take a quick walk," Changbin said, stretching casually as he stood up. "Clear my head a little." The boys didn't even look up, completely immersed in their own worlds.
You followed his lead a few minutes later, pretending to grab a hoodie from the hall closet. "I'm just going to get some fresh air too."
Again, no one noticed. You and Changbin met by the door, sharing a victorious grin as you slipped out into the hallway.
"We're doing this," you whispered, the thrill of the secret mission making your heart race.
Changbin laughed quietly. "I feel like we're spies or something. This better be worth it."
Within minutes, the delivery driver arrived, handing over the precious bags of food. You both accepted it like it was contraband, trying to hide your excitement. The smell was heavenly, and you had to resist the urge to dig in right there.
"We have to be quick," Changbin said, nodding toward the apartment door. "We'll hide it in my room."
You nodded in agreement, holding your breath as you quietly opened the door and tiptoed back inside. The apartment was still as chaotic as when you left, the boys none the wiser to your plan.
Step by step, you and Changbin crept down the hall toward his room. You could practically feel the tension in the air, every creak of the floor making you wince, fearing that someone would catch on to your secret mission.
Just as you reached the door to his room, Changbin fumbled with the handle, the bag rustling loudly. You both froze, eyes wide, as the sound seemed to echo through the hallway.
"Did you hear that?" Chan called from the living room.
Your heart stopped. Busted.
But Changbin, quick on his feet, responded with the most casual tone he could muster. "Oh, sorry! Just knocked something over."
You held your breath, praying no one would investigate.
There was a pause, and then Chan's voice again. "Alright, just don't break anything."
You exhaled in relief, quickly ducking into Changbin's room. Once the door was safely closed behind you, you both burst into quiet laughter, adrenaline buzzing through your veins.
"That was way too close," you said, your voice still hushed as you set the bags down on the floor.
Changbin grinned, sitting next to you and pulling out the containers of food. "But we did it. This is going to taste even better now that it's a victory meal."
You couldn't help but agree. As you sat side by side, digging into the takeout you'd fought so hard to keep secret, it felt like you'd just pulled off the greatest heist in Stray Kids history.
Between bites of noodles and dumplings, you exchanged glances, both of you knowing that if anyone found out about this, there would be no escaping the teasing—or worse, being forced to share. But for now, in the quiet of Changbin's room, it was just the two of you and your secret stash of food.
"You know we're going to have to sneak the trash out later, right?" you pointed out between bites.
