Lotte World is bustling with life, the vibrant colors and joyful screams filling the air with an infectious energy. You're surrounded by the members of Stray Kids, their voices overlapping as they argue over which ride to tackle next. But despite the noise and excitement, your attention keeps slipping to Jeongin, who's been unusually quiet today.
He stands close to you, his arm brushing against yours every now and then, sending a little jolt of electricity through you each time. It's not the first time you've felt this way around him—your heart speeding up, your thoughts getting tangled whenever he's near—but today, something feels different. His gaze seems to linger on you, his smile softer, almost shy, and it makes you wonder if he's feeling the same way.
The debate over rides continues, with the group split between the roller coaster and the bumper cars. You're about to voice your opinion when Jeongin leans in, his voice low enough that only you can hear. "How about we go get some cotton candy instead?" There's a hopeful note in his voice that makes your heart skip a beat.
You turn to him, trying to hide the smile tugging at your lips. "Are you trying to ditch the group?" you tease, though the idea of sneaking off with him sounds more appealing than anything else.
"Maybe," he replies, a playful glint in his eyes. "Just for a bit. What do you say?"
It doesn't take much convincing. You nod, and with a quick glance to make sure no one's watching too closely, the two of you slip away, heading toward the cotton candy stand. The moment you're away from the group, the air feels lighter, more relaxed, and you find yourself smiling more easily.
Jeongin orders the biggest cotton candy they have, and when the vendor hands it over, you both laugh at how ridiculously large it is. "We're never going to finish this," you say, pulling off a fluffy piece.
"We'll give it our best shot," Jeongin replies, tearing off a chunk and offering it to you.
You take it from his hand, your fingers brushing against his, and for a moment, neither of you speaks. There's a warmth in his eyes that makes your heart race, and you're suddenly aware of just how close he's standing.
Before you can say anything, a voice interrupts the moment. "There they are!"
You look up to see the rest of the boys heading your way, grins plastered on their faces. "We knew you two would sneak off," Han says, his tone dripping with mischief. "Couldn't resist some alone time, huh?"
Jeongin blushes furiously, trying to downplay it. "We just wanted some cotton candy," he says, but his voice is a little too defensive to be convincing.
"Sure, just cotton candy," Hyunjin echoes, smirking. "And it had to be the biggest one they had, right? Very subtle."
Chan steps forward, examining the massive swirl of sugar in Jeongin's hands. "You know, if you wanted some time alone, you didn't have to go to such sugary lengths to get it."
