The venue was buzzing with the usual pre-show excitement, the soundcheck in full swing as the boys prepared for the night's performance. You had been chatting with some of the staff, making sure everything was set for the evening, when you heard a commotion near the stage.
At first, it was just raised voices, but soon the noise escalated into something more alarming—shouts and the unmistakable sound of a struggle. Your heart dropped, and without thinking, you rushed towards the source of the disturbance.
As you rounded the corner, your eyes widened in shock. There, on the stage, was Felix, his usual warm and cheerful demeanor replaced with something you had never seen before: pure, unrestrained anger. He was swinging a punch at a man you didn't recognize, the force behind it startling in its intensity.
"Felix, no!" you cried out, your voice lost in the chaos.
Before Felix could land another hit, Seungmin tried to pull him back, his face a mix of concern and desperation, but Felix was too strong, too driven by rage. It wasn't until Changbin and Lee Know rushed over that they managed to drag him away, their combined strength barely enough to hold him back as he struggled against them, his eyes still locked on the man who had clearly set him off.
The stranger looked rattled but unharmed, though the anger in his eyes matched Felix's. Security quickly intervened, grabbing the man and forcefully escorting him out of the venue. You saw him shouting something as he was led away, but you couldn't make out the words over the pounding of your heart.
Felix, now restrained by his bandmates, was breathing heavily, his chest rising and falling with the effort to control his emotions. Tears of frustration and anger welled up in his eyes, and the sight broke your heart.
As soon as the other man was out of sight, Changbin and Lee Know gently released their grip on Felix, who immediately slumped forward, his hands covering his face as the tears finally spilled over. The other boys exchanged worried glances but stepped back, understanding that this was a moment only you could help him through.
You hurried over to Felix, your heart aching at the sight of him so broken and upset. Without a word, you pulled him into your arms, holding him tightly as he cried against your shoulder. His entire body was trembling, the adrenaline and emotions overwhelming him.
"It's okay," you whispered, your voice soothing as you ran your fingers through his hair. "I'm here, Felix. It's okay."
It took a few moments, but eventually, Felix's breathing began to steady, though the tears didn't stop. He pulled back slightly, just enough to look at you, his eyes red and puffy. "I'm sorry," he choked out, his voice filled with guilt. "I didn't mean to... I just... I heard him talking about you. He was saying... horrible things. I couldn't let him get away with it."
Your heart clenched at his words. "What did he say?" you asked softly, though part of you wasn't sure you wanted to know.
Felix's expression hardened again, the anger still simmering beneath the surface. "He was harassing you, saying what he wanted to do to you... I can't even repeat it. It was disgusting, Y/N. I lost it when I heard him."
Tears filled your eyes, both from the thought of what Felix must have heard and from the overwhelming gratitude you felt for him standing up for you. "Felix... thank you for wanting to protect me. But you can't put yourself in danger like that. What if you had gotten hurt? Or worse?"
Felix shook his head, his tears starting up again. "I couldn't just let him talk about you like that. I just... I had to do something."
"I understand," you said, cupping his face in your hands, forcing him to look at you. "But next time, you have to tell the security guys. Don't take it all on yourself. We can handle it together, without violence."
He nodded, though the guilt in his eyes didn't fully fade. "I'm so sorry, Y/N. I didn't mean to scare you."
"You didn't scare me," you reassured him, wiping away the tears on his cheeks. "I was worried, but I'm just glad you're okay. Please, just promise me you won't do this again."
"I promise," Felix whispered, leaning into your touch. "I just... I can't stand the thought of anyone hurting you."
Your heart swelled with love for him, and you leaned in to press a soft kiss to his forehead. "I know, and I'm so grateful for you. But you're more important to me than anything. I don't want to see you get hurt because of someone like that."
He nodded again, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you close. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I just... I couldn't help it. But I promise I'll handle it differently next time."
You hugged him tightly, feeling the tension slowly leaving his body as he calmed down. "Thank you, Felix," you whispered. "I love you."
"I love you too," he replied, his voice thick with emotion.
After a while, Felix finally seemed to relax, his breathing even and his tears dried. He looked up at you, his eyes still filled with a mix of emotions but calmer now. "I just... I'm sorry I made such a scene."
"You did what you thought was right," you told him gently. "But next time, let's just talk about it first, okay?"
"Okay," Felix agreed, a small, sad smile forming on his lips. "And I meant it, Y/N. That guy... he better not cross my path again."
You smiled softly, reaching up to brush a strand of hair out of his face. "He won't. Security made sure of that. And if he does... we'll handle it together. Without any more fights."
Felix nodded, finally starting to look more like himself again. "Together," he echoed, pulling you into another hug. "Thank you for being here with me."
"Always," you whispered, holding him close. "Always."
