Late-night practice was a routine for Stray Kids' danceracha, Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Felix. The three had been working tirelessly, perfecting the choreography for their upcoming "Taste" performance. As the hours dragged on, sweat dripped down their faces, and the music echoed through the empty company building.

Lee Know, as usual, was serious, his eyes scanning Hyunjin and Felix's movements to ensure they were in sync. Hyunjin, his long hair slightly sticking to his forehead, was pushing his limits, determined to perfect each spin and every subtle expression. Felix, the youngest, was equally focused, his deep voice occasionally humming the song's melody as he danced.

Their manager, who had been watching from the side, was growing impatient. It was well past midnight, and he wanted to go home. But the boys weren't quite done, and after an intense run-through, they decided to loosen up a bit, goofing around and playing with the choreography.

Hyunjin started by exaggerating one of the movements, causing Felix to snicker. Lee Know, trying to hold back a laugh, joined in, mimicking Hyunjin's dramatic flair. Their carefree laughter filled the practice room, and for a moment, they forgot about the fatigue that had weighed them down.

But the manager didn't find it amusing. He stormed into the center of the room, voice rising with irritation. "Do you think this is a joke?" he shouted, his eyes blazing with anger. "We're not here to play around!"

The boys froze, the tension in the room snapping back like a taut wire. Hyunjin, ever the peacemaker, stepped forward, his tone calm yet firm. "Hyung, we're just taking a short break. We've been working hard, you know that-"

Before he could finish his sentence, the manager's fist came flying. It happened so fast that none of them had time to react. Hyunjin's head snapped back, and a sharp gasp escaped Felix as he watched his friend stumble backward, blood dripping from his nose.

"Hyunjin!" Lee Know rushed to his side, his hands immediately cupping Hyunjin's face as he tried to stop the bleeding. Felix, frozen for only a second, felt a surge of anger rise inside him as he stepped forward to confront their manager.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Felix's voice trembled, both with rage and fear for his friend. The manager turned to face Felix, his face contorting with fury. Without warning, he lunged at Felix, wrapping his hands around the younger boy's neck.

Felix's eyes widened in shock as the pressure on his throat increased. He clawed at the manager's hands, gasping for air, but his strength was quickly fading.

Lee Know, still holding Hyunjin, sprang into action. "Stop! Let him go!" he yelled, pulling out his phone to dial emergency services as Hyunjin stumbled to his feet, his nose still bleeding.

The seconds felt like hours as Felix's vision blurred, the lack of oxygen making him feel dizzy. His grip on the manager's wrists weakened as his knees buckled. Just as Felix's eyes began to close, the manager released him, his hands shaking as though he had realized the gravity of what he had done.

Felix collapsed to the ground, gasping for air. Lee Know, still on the phone with the police, ran to Felix's side, helping him sit up while trying to soothe Hyunjin, who was still reeling from the punch.

Meanwhile, in another part of the building, Changbin was in the recording studio, working on some new tracks. He had planned to head home after finishing up, but a strange noise from the practice rooms caught his attention. Something felt off. As he walked closer to the source of the noise, he saw police officers leading the danceracha manager away in handcuffs.

Changbin's heart sank. He broke into a run, reaching the practice room just as the paramedics were attending to Hyunjin and Felix. Hyunjin sat in shock, holding a tissue to his nose, while Felix was lying on a stretcher, still trying to regulate his breathing. Lee Know was talking to a police officer, his face pale but determined.

"What happened?" Changbin asked breathlessly after Lee Know finished talking to the officer. His voice was laced with worry as he scanned the scene.

Lee Know's voice shook as he explained. "The manager... he was drunk. He hit Hyunjin and... he tried to strangle Felix."

Changbin's face darkened with a mix of anger and shock, but he knew he had to keep calm for the others. He needed to tell Bang Chan, but Chan had finally taken some much-needed time off. The last thing Changbin wanted was to stress him out.

Instead, he pulled out his phone and messaged the group chat without Bang Chan in it, "7 Homeless Kids."

"Hey, is anyone still at the company?" he typed. Han and Jeongin replied quickly, saying they were in the gym. Seungmin messaged that he was grabbing dinner nearby.

Changbin hesitated before sending his next message. "There's been... an issue with danceracha. We'll explain at the dorm later."

He glanced at Felix, who was still struggling to get a full breath of air, and Hyunjin, whose gaze was distant and haunted. They needed to go home.

Once back at the dorm, Lee Know helped Felix to the shower while Hyunjin followed to make sure he was okay. The dorm felt eerily quiet as Han, Seungmin, and Jeongin sat in the living room waiting for answers.

Changbin and Lee Know explained the situation in vague terms, leaving out the more violent details. But when they finished, Seungmin was the first to speak up.

"We have to tell Chan-hyung," he said bluntly. "He's the leader-he needs to know."

Lee Know and Changbin exchanged looks before nodding. It wasn't fair to keep this from Chan, no matter how much they wanted to protect him from the stress. They went upstairs to make the call.

Bang Chan was lounging on his bed when his phone rang. Seeing Lee Know's name flash across the screen, a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. He was about to greet them with his usual warmth when he heard the tension in Lee Know's voice.

"Hyung... there's been an incident with our manager."

Bang Chan's heart dropped. He sat up straight, his mind racing. "What happened?" His voice was steady, but his grip on the phone tightened.

"Hyunjin and Felix... they were hurt. He hit Hyunjin and... Felix was... strangled." Lee Know's voice broke slightly.

"I'm coming back," Bang Chan said immediately, not waiting for further explanation. The call ended, and Bang Chan hurriedly packed his things, his mind set on one thing: being there for his members.

Meanwhile, back at the dorm, Felix and Lee Know had ended up sleeping in Felix's bed. Lee Know was worried about how quiet and withdrawn Felix had become, there was no sign of the his sunshine, and he didn't want to leave him alone. Across the hall, Hyunjin was sharing a bed with Changbin, unable to sleep by himself after everything that had happened.

The next morning, Felix and Hyunjin woke up to find the beds beside them empty. They groggily made their way out of their rooms, meeting each other at the top of the stairs. Neither spoke, but when they heard a familiar voice from the living room, their eyes widened in surprise.

"Channie hyung?" Felix whispered to himself.

They ran down the stairs, finding Bang Chan standing in the doorway. Without thinking, they launched themselves at him, tackling him into a tight hug.

Bang Chan held them both close, his heart breaking as he felt Felix's grip tighten around him. "Are you guys okay?" he asked gently, his voice filled with concern.

Hyunjin nodded weakly. "I'm fine now... now that he's gone."

Felix didn't say a word. He only buried his face deeper into Chan's shoulder, clinging to him as if he was the only thing keeping him grounded.

Bang Chan could feel the weight of Felix's silence, and it worried him deeply. But he held them both, promising silently that he wouldn't let them face this alone. They were a family, and no matter what, they would get through it together.

Weeks passed, and with the support of Changbin, Han, Seungmin, and Jeongin, the wounds started to heal, slowly but surely. 3racha even dedicated a song to danceracha, a symbol of their bond, a way to remind them that they were never alone.

It took time, but eventually, Felix stopped flinching when someone reached out to him, finding comfort again in the touch of his members. And while the memory of that night would never fully fade, the boys of Stray Kids grew stronger, their bond unbreakable in the face of adversity.
