The summer sun hung high in the sky, casting a golden glow over the hotel pool as the RIIZE members wrapped up their variety show photoshoot. The energy had been infectious-cameras flashing, water splashing, and laughter filling the air. The group had been tasked with completing a fun water-themed challenge, but for Sungchan, the shallow end of the pool was his safe zone. He had always been uncomfortable with deep water, something his members had been aware of.

"That wasn't so bad, right?" Anton asked, patting Sungchan on the back as they stepped out of the shallow end of the pool.

Sungchan forced a smile. "Yeah, I'm just glad it's over."

Anton grinned, the same playful glint in his eye. "I'll be looking for you later, just in case you decide to run off and avoid the next water shoot."

"Don't worry," Sungchan said, rolling his eyes. "I'll be in the changing room, hiding."

Anton laughed as he walked away to grab a towel, leaving Sungchan to make his way back inside to change. His skin still prickled from the cool water, and he welcomed the thought of getting into dry clothes and relaxing in his room.

As Sungchan walked along the edge of the pool toward the changing room, he barely noticed the group of kids playing nearby. His mind was elsewhere-lost in thoughts of the day's shoot, the upcoming concert schedule, and the growing exhaustion settling into his bones. What he didn't notice was that the kids had taken an interest in him.

One of them pointed and whispered, "He's scared of the deep water, right? Let's push him in-it'll be funny."

Before Sungchan could register what was happening, he felt a sudden force from behind. Hands shoved him, and he stumbled forward, falling into the deep end of the pool. His limbs flailed as panic overtook him. The water closed over his head, and for a moment, the world went silent.

The weightlessness felt terrifying. Sungchan's chest tightened as he struggled to stay afloat, but the panic made it impossible to focus. His body, already tired from the day's activities, betrayed him. He tried to kick, but the more he thrashed, the faster he sank. Water filled his mouth and nose as his head went under.

He was drowning.

Anton had just finished drying off and was about to head inside when he noticed something strange out of the corner of his eye. Sungchan, who should have been heading to the changing room by now, wasn't anywhere in sight. His brow furrowed, and a gut feeling told him something was wrong.

"Where is Sungchan-hyung?" Anton murmured, his heart picking up pace as he scanned the area.

And then he saw it. The deep end of the pool-a glimpse of Sungchan's flailing arm beneath the water's surface, quickly going still.

Without thinking, Anton ran and dove into the pool. The water was cold against his skin, but all he could focus on was reaching Sungchan. His lungs burned as he swam deeper, his heart pounding in his chest. Sungchan's body was sinking fast, unmoving.

Anton grabbed Sungchan around the waist and kicked hard, dragging him to the surface with every ounce of strength he had left. Once they broke through the water, Anton gasped for air, but Sungchan wasn't breathing.

"Oh, no. No, no, no," Anton muttered under his breath, panic surging through him as he pulled Sungchan to the pool's edge. "Wonbin-hyung! Wonbin-hyung!"

Anton's voice cracked as he yelled for the closest member he could think of, but he kept his arms locked tightly around Sungchan, trying to keep him upright.

Within seconds, Wonbin came running, his face pale when he saw what was happening. "Sungchan-hyung!" he gasped, dropping to his knees beside Anton. "Is he breathing?"
