The rain had been relentless, drumming against the windows of the dorm for days. It matched the mood of P1Harmony's eldest member, Theo, who had been feeling under the weather for a while now. At first, he thought it was just exhaustion catching up to him. After all, their schedule had been packed with performances, interviews, and endless rehearsals. But when the fever came, it was clear this wasn't just fatigue.
Theo had always been the type to push through pain, to brush off sickness with a smile so the others wouldn't worry. As the eldest, he saw it as his responsibility to keep everyone in line, to make sure things were running smoothly, even if it meant putting his own needs aside. But that morning, as he lay in bed drenched in sweat, barely able to lift his head, he knew he couldn't ignore it anymore.
Keeho, their leader, had been the first to notice something was wrong. Theo hadn't come out of his room for breakfast, which was unusual since he was usually the one nagging the others to eat something before heading out.
"Theo-hyung, you good?" Keeho called, knocking softly on Theo's door. When there was no answer, his heart sank.
Keeho pushed the door open to find Theo curled up under a mountain of blankets, his face flushed with fever, his breathing labored. "Hyung..."
Theo's eyes flickered open, and he managed a weak smile. "Hey, Keeho..."
"You look terrible," Keeho said, trying to keep the panic out of his voice. "We need to get you to a doctor."
The diagnosis came swiftly after they rushed him to the clinic. Theo had contracted a highly contagious viral infection, something that had been spreading rapidly. He was immediately placed in isolation, separated from his members to prevent the illness from spreading to them.
As they drove back to the dorm, the atmosphere in the van was heavy. Keeho sat in the front seat, his eyes staring blankly out the window, while the others remained silent, the weight of the situation sinking in.
"How long will he have to stay away from us?" Intak asked, his voice small and unsure. He sat with his hands clenched tightly in his lap, his usual calm demeanor cracked by worry.
"Until the fever breaks," Keeho said quietly. "It could be days... maybe a week."
A week. The thought of being without Theo for that long felt strange. He was the glue that held the group together in many ways-the eldest, the one they all looked up to. Without him, things felt off, unsteady.
Jongseob, the youngest, had been unusually quiet since hearing the news. He sat next to Soul, biting his lip, his mind racing with questions. What if Theo got worse? What if they couldn't see him for even longer?
Back at the dorm, Theo's absence was felt immediately. The apartment seemed quieter, emptier, without his voice filling the space with gentle reminders or his calm, reassuring presence. Keeho tried to keep things light for the others, but even he couldn't shake the unease that settled in the pit of his stomach.
Meanwhile, Theo was left alone in his small room, cut off from the rest of the group. Isolation was a strange kind of torture. The fever came and went in waves, leaving him weak and disoriented. The worst part wasn't the physical pain, though-it was the loneliness. For the first time in a long time, Theo wasn't able to be there for his members, and that weighed on him more than anything.
He stared at the ceiling, his body aching, his thoughts muddled by the fever. What if they were struggling without him? What if Keeho was overworking himself trying to keep the others in check? He felt a deep responsibility as the eldest, the one who was supposed to look out for everyone. Now, here he was, unable to even get out of bed.
