The buzzing energy of rehearsals filled the practice room, every member of ZEROBASEONE moving in sync as they perfected the choreography for their upcoming performance. Hanbin, the leader and main dancer, was at the front as usual, leading the charge with his crisp, sharp moves. His eyes stayed focused on the mirror, watching his form and making sure every movement was precise.

But something felt off today. A sharp pain shot through his chest as he spun into the next move, making him falter for just a split second. Hanbin winced but quickly recovered, forcing himself to continue. It was probably just muscle strain from the long hours they'd been practicing—nothing more than that.

"Hanbin-hyung, you okay?" Ricky, always perceptive, glanced at him between steps.

Hanbin flashed a reassuring smile, pushing down the unease building inside him. "I'm fine, just a little sore."

Ricky nodded, but the concern didn't leave his eyes.

They had been working relentlessly for weeks, preparing for a high-stakes performance that could propel their group even further into stardom. As the leader, Hanbin felt the weight of responsibility heavier than ever. He had to be strong for the group, for his members. There wasn't time for weakness.

However, as they ran through the routine again, the pain in his chest returned, sharper this time, making his breath catch in his throat. Hanbin gritted his teeth, willing his body to push through. He couldn't afford to let anything slow him down now. Not with everything on the line.

The other members were too focused on their own movements to notice Hanbin's discomfort. Jiwoong and Zhang Hao were deep in concentration, their expressions serious as they worked on perfecting their parts. Matthew and Taerae exchanged playful banter between takes, trying to keep the mood light. Yujin, their maknae, was brimming with energy, while Gyuvin and Gunwook joked about who would mess up next.

They trusted Hanbin to be the solid pillar holding everything together, and that was exactly what he intended to be.

But as the days passed, the pain grew worse. Each rehearsal left him more drained, more breathless than the last. It wasn't just muscle strain anymore. Hanbin began to notice how tight his chest felt, how sometimes his heart raced unpredictably, almost painfully. His body was telling him to slow down, but his mind refused to listen.

During their final rehearsal before the big performance, Hanbin found himself struggling to keep up with the choreography. Every breath felt shallow, his chest tightening with each movement. Sweat poured down his face, but he ignored the throbbing pain that had become a constant companion. He had to finish this. He couldn't show any sign of weakness, not now.

"Let's take it from the top," Hanbin called out, masking the tremor in his voice.

The members nodded, though a few of them exchanged concerned glances. Gyuvin, who was usually the first to crack a joke, stayed quiet, his eyes flicking to Hanbin with worry.

As the music started again, Hanbin threw himself into the routine, his body moving on autopilot. But halfway through, the pain in his chest spiked. His vision blurred for a second, and his legs wobbled beneath him. He stumbled, breaking the rhythm of the dance.

"Hyung, are you sure you're okay?" Gunwook asked, stepping closer.

Hanbin straightened, forcing a smile even as his chest throbbed painfully. "I'm fine. Just need to catch my breath." He waved them off, taking deep gulps of air and willing the dizziness to pass.

Matthew frowned, clearly not convinced, but before anyone could press further, their manager entered, signaling that it was time for them to head to the venue for their performance. Hanbin let out a silent sigh of relief. He just had to get through tonight.
