The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm glow over the Xikers' dorm as the members gathered in the living room. Excitement buzzed in the air, and laughter echoed as they discussed their upcoming bonding activity.
"Guys, we need something epic for our next adventure!" Hyunwoo exclaimed, eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "How about bungee jumping?"
The room fell silent for a moment, and then a wave of laughter erupted.
"You're joking, right?" Seeun chuckled, shaking his head. "That sounds insane!"
"Come on! It'll be fun! Think about the thrill and the memories we'll make!" Hyunwoo urged, clapping his hands together.
Junghoon, sitting quietly on the couch, felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. He had always wanted to impress his members and show them he was adventurous, but the idea of jumping off a bridge was terrifying.
"Alright, let's do it!" Minjae declared, raising his hand to agree. His heart raced at the thought, but he forced a smile, eager to not let his fears show.
The others cheered, and Hyunwoo leaned closer, giving him a playful nudge. "You ready to scream like a little girl, Junghoon?"
Junghoon laughed nervously, his mind racing. I can't back out now. I need to be brave.
The day of the bungee jump arrived, and Junghoon found himself standing on the edge of a towering platform, his heart pounding loudly in his chest. The wind whipped through his hair, and the view below was breathtaking. However, the thrill quickly turned to dread as he looked down at the rocky ground far beneath him.
"Junghoon! You good?" Hunter called, standing a few steps behind him, concern etched on his face.
"Yeah, totally!" Junghoon forced a smile, despite the rising panic in his chest. I can't let them see I'm scared.
Sumin, already harnessed and prepared to jump, was bouncing on his feet, his excitement infectious. "Come on, we're here to bond! It's going to be an incredible rush!"
Junghoon nodded, taking a deep breath to steady himself. He tried to focus on the thrill, but the adrenaline felt like a tidal wave crashing over him, drowning out his thoughts.
As the countdown began, he felt his heart rate spike. Three... Two... One...
He took a step closer to the edge, the ground dropping away beneath him. His stomach twisted into knots as he prepared to jump.
"Just let go!" Yechan shouted, his voice filled with encouragement.
Junghoon's instincts kicked in, and he leaped. For a split second, he felt weightless, but then panic surged through him, and the world spun violently around him.
The last thing he remembered was the rush of wind and a desperate scream echoing in his ears before everything went black.
When Junghoon came to, he was lying on the ground, surrounded by concerned faces. His members hovered over him, their expressions a mix of worry and relief.
"Junghoon!" Junmin exclaimed, kneeling beside him. "Are you okay? Can you hear me?"
Junghoon blinked, trying to process the situation. The adrenaline from the jump had faded, replaced by a deep sense of confusion. "What happened?" he mumbled, his voice hoarse.
"You fainted after the jump! We thought you were going to be okay, but..." Jinsik's voice trailed off, his eyes wide with concern.
Junghoon tried to sit up, but dizziness washed over him. "I... I'm fine," he insisted, though he could feel the heat rising in his cheeks, embarrassed to have scared them.
