AMPERS&ONE's practice room was filled with the familiar sounds of rhythmic footsteps and synchronized breaths, the air thick with determination as the group rehearsed for their upcoming performance. The hum of music pulsed through the space, accompanied by the echoes of hard work and camaraderie. Jiho, the lead vocalist, had always prided himself on keeping up with the group's intense choreography, even though dancing wasn't his strongest suit.

He wiped the sweat from his brow, adjusting his position as the music reset. His focus sharpened as the next sequence began, his mind trained on perfecting each move, ensuring that every beat was hit with precision. AMPERS&ONE had come too far to falter now—each performance was a chance to prove their worth.

The music blared, and Jiho leaped into the air for a high-energy move. Mid-jump, he felt a sharp pain stab through his left leg, causing him to land awkwardly. His knee buckled, and he stumbled, barely catching himself before falling to the ground.

"Jiho, you good?" Brian, always the observant one, called out, his voice laced with concern.

Jiho waved him off with a forced smile, willing the discomfort to fade. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit of a misstep."

Kamden, the group's leader, raised an eyebrow but didn't press further. The team was used to pushing through minor aches and pains during gruelling rehearsals, and Jiho was no stranger to that mindset. After all, everyone felt the pressure of their upcoming schedule, and no one wanted to be the one to hold the group back.

As the music resumed, Jiho pushed the pain to the back of his mind, determined to keep up. His moves were a little stiffer, his landings more cautious, but he managed to get through the rest of practice without any major issues.

That night, Jiho collapsed onto his bed, groaning as the pain in his leg flared again. His muscles ached more than usual, but the sharp pain that had stabbed through his leg earlier lingered, a dull throb beneath the surface.

He rolled onto his side, rubbing at the sore spot on his leg. "It's nothing," he muttered to himself, convincing no one. "Just a strain."

He closed his eyes, exhaustion pulling him under. Tomorrow would be better.

The next morning, Jiho woke up to an all-too-familiar ache in his leg. It wasn't just a dull throb anymore—it was sharper, more pronounced, like a constant reminder of yesterday's misstep. He winced as he swung his legs over the side of the bed, feeling a twinge of pain shoot up his calf.

Still, he brushed it off. They had another full day of practice ahead, and there was no time for rest. If he told the others, they'd worry—and worse, they might tell him to sit out. Jiho hated the idea of being sidelined, especially when they were so close to their next performance.

By the time they arrived at the practice room, Jiho had forced himself to walk normally, concealing the limp that threatened to reveal itself. The music started, and as the group fell into their familiar routine, Jiho did his best to ignore the burning sensation in his leg. Each step was more painful than the last, but he gritted his teeth and pushed through.

Kamden glanced at him a few times during practice, his eyes narrowing in suspicion, but Jiho forced himself to smile through the pain. He could manage this. It was just a strain, after all. A few days of rest, and it would be fine.

The next few days were brutal.

Jiho's leg felt worse with each passing hour. The sharp pain that had started as a small twinge had now grown into a constant ache that flared whenever he moved too quickly or put too much weight on it. His usual agility was gone, replaced by a stiffness that made each dance move feel like a chore.
