The energy in the concert venue was electric. Thousands of fans, lightsticks glowing, cheered and sang along with The Boyz as they performed one of their most high-energy sets. Sangyeon, the group's leader, thrived in these moments. He loved the connection with the fans, the shared excitement, and the adrenaline rush of being on stage with his members. They were more than just a team—they were brothers. As the music pulsed through the air and they launched into "Watch It," one of their most dynamic songs, Sangyeon couldn't shake a nagging sense of unease.

It had started during soundcheck earlier that day. While rehearsing, Sangyeon had noticed one of the stage lights hanging a bit too low. It had looked wobbly, the way it swayed slightly even without wind or movement near it. Sangyeon had immediately flagged it to the staff, who assured him that it would be checked and fixed. But as the concert rolled on, he couldn't help but glance up at that same light, now dangerously close to the edge of its mount.

He told himself to focus. This was their time—The Boyz were here to put on a show for the fans. He couldn't let a stray light distract him. Still, he kept an eye on it, his heart pounding a little faster every time it swayed just a little too far.

They were now in the middle of "Watch It." Sunwoo was front and center, launching into his rapid-fire rap verse, his energy lighting up the stage as he danced in perfect sync with the beat. The crowd went wild, their cheers mixing with the thumping bass, the flashing lights making it hard to see clearly for a moment.

That's when Sangyeon saw it.

The light—the very same one he'd been watching warily all night—began to tilt. It was slow at first, almost imperceptible, but then it started to move faster, its supports giving way as it came crashing down directly over Sunwoo's position.

There wasn't time to think. In an instant, Sangyeon's body moved on instinct. Before anyone could react, before Sunwoo even realized what was happening, Sangyeon was there—pushing him out of the way just as the light came down.

The sound of the stage light crashing onto the floor echoed through the arena, followed by a collective gasp from the crowd. For a moment, there was complete silence, as if the entire world had frozen in place.

Then, chaos erupted.

Sunwoo hit the stage floor, barely registering what had just happened. One second, he'd been rapping, caught up in the music, and the next, he was shoved out of the way, tumbling to the ground. Dazed, he turned just in time to see the light crash down—right on top of Sangyeon.

"No... no, no, no," Sunwoo whispered, his voice shaking as the reality of what had happened hit him like a freight train. His body went cold, his legs trembling as he scrambled to his feet, running toward where Sangyeon lay under the fallen light.

The rest of the members were already moving. Jacob and Younghoon reached Sangyeon first, followed closely by Juyeon and Kevin. The rest of the team rushed over, their faces pale with fear.

"Sangyeon hyung!" Jacob cried out, his voice filled with panic. He knelt beside his leader, eyes wide as he took in the sight of the heavy light fixture pinning Sangyeon's body to the stage. Sangyeon wasn't moving.

"Hyung... hyung, wake up," Juyeon murmured, his hands trembling as he reached for Sangyeon, unsure of what to do.

Sunwoo, standing frozen a few feet away, felt his breath hitch in his throat. He couldn't move. He couldn't think. All he could see was Sangyeon lying there, lifeless. It was supposed to be him under that light. Sangyeon had pushed him—he'd saved him. And now... now Sangyeon might be...

"No!" Sunwoo's legs gave out beneath him, and he collapsed to the stage floor, sobbing uncontrollably. Jacob was beside him in an instant, pulling Sunwoo into his arms, his own tears falling silently as he tried to comfort the younger member.
