The promotional event for BTS's latest album was buzzing with excitement. Fans filled the venue, their voices a cacophony of cheers and shouts of support. Among the members, Namjoon—also known as RM—stood tall, effortlessly exuding charm and charisma. He smiled brightly as he waved at the sea of ARMYs, his heart swelling with appreciation for their unwavering support.
As the event continued, a well-meaning fan approached the stage, holding a drink aloft with a big smile on her face. She had been crafting this moment in her mind for weeks, dreaming of impressing her favorite idol. "Oppa! Try this! It's a special drink I made just for you!" she exclaimed, her enthusiasm palpable.
Namjoon, caught off guard but charmed by her excitement, accepted the drink. "Thank you! This looks interesting," he said, raising the cup in a mock toast. He took a sip, enjoying the sweet and fruity flavor that danced on his tongue. It felt refreshing after hours of interacting with fans, and he couldn't help but smile again, thinking about how thoughtful his fans could be.
The event carried on without a hitch, but as the hours passed and the adrenaline began to fade, a slight unease settled in Namjoon's stomach. He brushed it off, attributing it to exhaustion from the day's festivities.
The members returned to the dorm later that evening, all buzzing with energy from the day. However, as the night wore on, Namjoon began to feel increasingly lightheaded. It was subtle at first, like a distant wave washing over him. He tried to engage in conversations with the members, but his thoughts felt muddled, and he struggled to focus.
"Hey, Joonie, you good?" Jin asked, eyeing him with concern. "You seem a bit off."
Namjoon shook his head, forcing a smile. "I'm fine, just a little tired. It was a long day, you know?"
As the night progressed, however, his condition worsened. Nausea rolled in waves, and he excused himself to the bathroom, hoping that fresh air would help settle his stomach. He splashed cold water on his face, but when he looked in the mirror, the reflection staring back at him was pale and weary.
"Come on, Namjoon, just get it together," he murmured to himself, but the reassurance felt hollow. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was very wrong.
By the time the clock struck midnight, Namjoon was feeling increasingly disoriented. He stumbled back into the living room, where the other members were gathered, laughing and watching a variety show. His heart sank as he realized he had missed out on all the fun.
"Namjoon-hyung! You okay?" Jungkook asked, his brows furrowing as he noticed the look of distress on his leader's face.
"I just need to rest a bit," Namjoon said, his voice barely above a whisper. He walked toward his room, but halfway there, the world tilted on its axis. He reached out for the wall for support, but his vision darkened, and the next thing he knew, he was collapsing to the floor.
"Namjoon!" The sound of panic erupted as the other members rushed to his side. Jin was the first to reach him, kneeling beside him as he gently shook his shoulder.
"Namjoon, wake up!" Jin shouted, fear creeping into his voice. The rest of the members quickly gathered, their expressions a mixture of concern and panic.
"Hyung! What happened?" Jimin asked, kneeling beside Jin, his voice trembling.
"Call an ambulance!" Yoongi shouted, his voice laced with urgency. He reached for Namjoon's wrist, checking for a pulse. It was faint but steady, and he felt a slight wave of relief wash over him. "He's still breathing!"
Hoseok was already on his phone, his fingers moving rapidly as he spoke to the operator. "Yes, we need help! Our friend collapsed!"
Namjoon remained unconscious on the floor, his body feeling cold and unresponsive. As they waited for help, the other members hovered around him, each of them filled with worry and helplessness.
