The late afternoon sun cast long shadows over the street as the members of Treasure made their way back from a grueling practice session. Despite the tiredness that clung to their limbs, the camaraderie among them made the walk home lighter. But today, something had shifted in the atmosphere. An argument had erupted between Yoshi and Hyunsuk, the tension palpable in every word exchanged.

Yoshi's jaw was set in a firm line, his eyes narrowed as he walked with purpose. Hyunsuk was only a step ahead, his face twisted in a mix of frustration and anger. The rest of the members—Jihoon, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Haruto, Asahi, Junkyu, Jeongwoo, and Junghwan—trailed behind, their usual chatter subdued by the lingering unease.

"Why do you always have to be so stubborn?" Hyunsuk snapped, his voice rising in frustration.

"Stubborn? Maybe, but I'm not the one who's constantly making rash decisions!" Yoshi shot back, his voice trembling with emotion.

As the group approached a busy intersection, the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a golden hue over the cityscape. The street lights flickered to life, signaling the end of another day. The group had reached the crosswalk, and while most of them were already on the other side, Yoshi and Hyunsuk lingered behind, their argument far from resolved.

Hyunsuk, driven by anger and frustration, stepped forward to cross the street without paying full attention to the traffic. His steps were quick, his eyes focused straight ahead, leaving him oblivious to the approaching danger.

Yoshi, still riled from their argument, lagged a few steps behind. His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, struggling to reconcile the words he'd exchanged with Hyunsuk. He watched Hyunsuk's retreating back, a pang of guilt gnawing at him. Suddenly, the screech of tires cut through the air, and Yoshi's heart sank as he saw the flash of headlights racing towards Hyunsuk.

Instinct took over. Without a second thought, Yoshi sprinted forward, his legs moving faster than his mind could process. Time seemed to stretch as he lunged towards Hyunsuk, pushing him roughly out of harm's way. The next moment was a blur of metal and glass as the car slammed into Yoshi with a sickening thud.

The screeching of tires and the car's impact sent a jolt through the entire group. Jihoon, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Haruto, Asahi, Junkyu, Jeongwoo, and Junghwan, who had been chatting among themselves, turned to see the horrifying scene unfold. The sight of Yoshi crumpled on the asphalt and the car speeding away was like a punch to the gut.

"Yoshi!" Jihoon's voice rang out in terror as he sprinted towards the scene. The others followed in frantic rushes, their faces a mix of shock and fear.

Hyunsuk, who had been shoved to the ground, scrambled to his feet. His face was ashen, eyes wide with disbelief. He stumbled forward, his breath coming in ragged gasps. He dropped to his knees beside Yoshi, who lay motionless on the road, a pool of blood spreading beneath him.

"Yoshi! Yoshi, please wake up!" Hyunsuk's voice broke, the guilt and anguish in his tone piercing the air.

The members gathered around, their expressions turning from shock to panic. Jihoon immediately dialed emergency services, his hands trembling as he spoke into the phone. Haruto and Asahi knelt beside Yoshi, desperately checking for signs of consciousness. Junkyu and Jeongwoo tried to control the growing crowd of onlookers, their faces etched with concern.

Hyunsuk's hands were shaking as he reached out to touch Yoshi's face. Tears streamed down his cheeks as he whispered, "I'm so sorry. This is my fault. Please, just hold on."

Yoshi's breathing was shallow, each inhale a struggle. His face was pale, and the blood seeping from a head wound painted a stark contrast against the gray pavement. The sound of sirens grew louder, their arrival both a relief and a further reminder of the gravity of the situation.
