Taehyun had been feeling a bit off for weeks. It was nothing serious, just some minor discomfort that he had chalked up to the rigors of their busy schedule. As the second youngest of TXT, he was used to pushing through pain, always putting the group's needs above his own. But after discussing his symptoms with the members and their manager, it was decided that a routine surgery would be the best option. It was supposed to be quick—just a minor procedure—and he would be back to performing in no time.

The day of the surgery arrived, and Taehyun felt a mix of nerves and excitement. He had been assured that everything would go smoothly, and he trusted the doctors. As he was wheeled into the operating room, he gave a small thumbs up to Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, and Heuning Kai, who stood anxiously outside, waiting for him to go under.

"We'll be right here when you wake up!" Yeonjun had called out, offering a reassuring smile.

After the anesthesia took effect, Taehyun drifted into a peaceful sleep, his worries fading away. He believed he would wake up, have a few days of rest, and then be back in practice, ready to take on the world with his friends.

When he finally came to, the first thing Taehyun noticed was the unfamiliar sounds of hospital equipment beeping around him. He blinked, trying to gather his thoughts, but everything felt hazy. The lights above him were too bright, and he squinted against the glare.

"Taehyun?" a familiar voice said softly.

It was Soobin. Taehyun turned his head slightly and saw the concerned faces of his members hovering near him, their expressions a mix of relief and worry.

"You're awake!" Beomgyu exclaimed, his eyes lighting up. "How do you feel?"

Taehyun opened his mouth to reply, but instead, he was overwhelmed by a wave of nausea. He closed his eyes again, feeling the room spin around him. "I... I feel a bit dizzy," he managed to say.

"That's normal," Soobin assured him, his tone gentle. "Just take it easy."

As the nurses came in to check on him, Taehyun tried to focus on their voices, but he could feel the anxiety creeping in. Something didn't feel right. The discomfort he had expected to be temporary lingered, and the doctors hadn't said much about when he would be discharged.

Days turned into a week, and Taehyun remained in the hospital. What was supposed to be a straightforward recovery had turned complicated. There had been unexpected swelling around the surgical site, and the doctors were closely monitoring him. Each day brought new tests, and with them, more uncertainty.

"Why is this taking so long?" he snapped one afternoon, frustration boiling over. He was tired of being in the sterile hospital room, tired of the endless waiting. The walls felt like they were closing in on him, and the thought of not being able to perform gnawed at his insides.

Yeonjun, who had been sitting quietly beside him, shifted uncomfortably. "We don't know, Taehyun. But the doctors are doing their best," he said, trying to keep his voice calm.

"It's not good enough!" Taehyun retorted, feeling tears prick at the corners of his eyes. "I just want to go home. I want to be with you guys."

"We're here for you," Soobin said softly. "That's what matters right now."

Taehyun felt the weight of their support, but he was too wrapped up in his own anxiety to fully appreciate it. He didn't want to burden them with his feelings, but the isolation of the hospital room only deepened his fears.

As the days continued to drag on, the other members made it a point to visit him as often as possible. They brought books, snacks, and even games to help pass the time. But each time they left, Taehyun was left with the gnawing worry of whether he would return to the stage.
