The mid-afternoon sun poured through the tall glass windows of the YG Entertainment building, casting a warm glow on the otherwise sterile, modern interior. Doyoung stretched his arms over his head as he leaned back on the company's cafe lounge, feeling the tension in his muscles loosen. It was a rare moment of calm in the hectic whirlwind of TREASURE's promotion schedules, and he wanted to make the most of it.

Beside him, Yoshi sat perched on a skateboard, idly rolling it back and forth beneath his feet as they both enjoyed the break. They had just finished recording a variety show, and for the first time in weeks, Doyoung felt like he could breathe.

"Hey, let's skate a bit," Yoshi suggested, nodding toward the open space near the company building's back entrance.

Doyoung grinned. "Yeah, let's do it. I need to move around."

They grabbed their skateboards and headed to the side of the building, away from the busyness of the staff and other members. The crisp autumn air felt refreshing as Doyoung kicked off the ground, the wheels of his board gliding smoothly along the pavement. He hadn't skated in what felt like forever, and the sensation of speed and freedom gave him an adrenaline rush. Yoshi followed close behind, laughing as they sped down the smooth walkway.

The two of them cruised around for a while, making small jumps and showing off simple tricks. The mood was light, their stresses momentarily forgotten.

Doyoung loved this feeling—just him, Yoshi, and the sound of the wheels scraping the pavement. No expectations, no cameras. Just fun.

"Watch this!" Doyoung called out as he approached a small bench set along the path. His heart pounded in excitement as he prepared to do a quick jump over it. He'd done tricks like this countless times before, but as he approached the bench, he misjudged the timing. He jumped a split second too early, and instead of clearing the bench, his skateboard shot out from under him.

The world seemed to slow down for a moment as Doyoung hung in the air, his body tilting awkwardly. He hit the ground hard, landing with a sickening thud on his knee before rolling onto his side. The impact knocked the breath out of him, and for a second, he couldn't even register the pain.

Yoshi froze, his laughter dying instantly as he saw Doyoung crumple to the ground. "Doyoung!"

He rushed over, dropping his skateboard and crouching beside his friend, his heart hammering in his chest. "Hey, are you okay?"

Doyoung groaned, trying to sit up, but the sharp pain in his knee stopped him in his tracks. He winced, clutching his knee tightly as he tried to steady his breathing. It hurt. It hurt badly.

"Give me a second," Doyoung muttered through gritted teeth, his face scrunched up in pain.

But as soon as he tried to bend his leg, a jolt of agony shot through him, and he cried out, his hand flying to his knee again. His heart sank when he saw how quickly it was swelling.

Yoshi's eyes widened in alarm. "Doyoung, don't move. Your knee—it's swelling so fast."

Doyoung felt a wave of frustration wash over him. How could he mess up such a simple trick? He wasn't some beginner—he'd done that jump a hundred times before. And now, because of one stupid miscalculation, he was sprawled out on the ground, unable to even move without nearly screaming in pain.

"I'm fine, I just—" Doyoung started, but the pain in his knee spiked again, making him grit his teeth to keep from yelling.

Yoshi shook his head, worry etched in every line of his face. "No, you're not fine. Stay still, okay? I'll call Jihoon-hyung."

Doyoung opened his mouth to protest, but he couldn't deny how bad it felt. He nodded stiffly, biting down on his lip as Yoshi quickly pulled out his phone and called Jihoon.
