JYP had always believed that strength was the backbone of success. Over the years, he had built his empire on determination and grit, priding himself on being the hardest worker in the room. He was known for his unbreakable spirit and boundless energy, inspiring countless trainees and idols at JYP Entertainment to push their limits. But lately, that once boundless energy had started to falter.
As he rushed from meeting to meeting, juggling his roles as CEO, producer, and mentor, he couldn't shake the strange fatigue that clung to him. He brushed off the exhaustion that gnawed at him, ignoring the occasional headaches and waves of dizziness. "Just a few more days," he kept telling himself. "Just until the comeback season passes."
One evening, after a particularly exhausting recording session, he found himself in yet another meeting, this time with NEXZ, one of the newer groups that had recently debuted under JYP Entertainment. The young members, eyes wide with admiration, hung on his every word as he shared his advice on artistry, integrity, and hard work.
JYP forced a smile, concealing his weariness. The lights overhead felt too bright, and the words he spoke sounded distant to his own ears. He saw Tomoya, the leader of NEXZ, nodding earnestly, his expression filled with admiration. The group's main dancer, Haru, leaned forward, absorbing every piece of guidance like a sponge.
"I want all of you to know," JYP said, trying to ignore the wave of dizziness rolling over him, "that no matter how tough things get, you have to keep pushing forward. As artists, your resilience is your strength."
But as he spoke, his vision blurred, and the room began to spin. He blinked, trying to steady himself, but his body had reached its limit. In the middle of his sentence, he staggered, his hand reaching out to the edge of the table for support. The last thing he saw was the shocked faces of the NEXZ members, their expressions frozen in horror as he collapsed to the floor.
Chaos erupted in the meeting room. Yuhi and Haru, who were closest to JYP, immediately crouched down beside him, panic evident on their faces.
"Someone get help!" Yuhi shouted, his voice trembling.
Seita's face was pale as he pulled out his phone, calling for medical assistance. Meanwhile, So Geon, the quiet yet resourceful member, ran out of the room, his mind racing. He remembered seeing some of the Stray Kids members in a nearby practice room and sprinted toward them, hoping they could lend a hand.
He burst into the room where Chan and Changbin were working on choreography. Startled, they both turned to face him.
"Haru? What's wrong?" Chan asked, immediately sensing the urgency.
"It's... it's JYP-hyung. He collapsed during a meeting," Haru stammered, his eyes wide with worry.
Without hesitation, Chan sprang into action. "Changbin, get the medical staff on standby. Haru, lead the way."
Together, they raced back to the meeting room, where the other NEXZ members knelt around JYP, trying to keep him comfortable while they waited for help. Seeing their usually invincible boss laid out on the floor sent a wave of worry through everyone. Chan knelt down beside JYP, gently patting his shoulder.
"JYP, can you hear me? Help is on the way," Chan said softly, glancing around at the anxious NEXZ members. "He's going to be okay, guys."
Within minutes, the medical team arrived, carefully lifting JYP onto a stretcher as the young idols watched in silence, each grappling with the shock of seeing their fearless leader in such a vulnerable state.
JYP woke up to the soft beeping of monitors and the sterile smell of the hospital room. He blinked, disoriented, before realizing where he was. As he tried to sit up, a sharp pain shot through his head, forcing him back down.
