Harley was waiting outside for Peter to come back. He found him pacing back and forth rapidly and lost in his thoughts, his left hand on his chin. With every step he took, he was kicking some dirt away and stepping on and pressing the green grass. Peter approached him quickly whilst trying to catch his breath. Harley looked up when he heard the other boy approaching. "Were you in another country?" "I came over as soon as I could, Keener." Peter spat back. Clearly, Harley was not in the best mood. Peter should probably blame himself for that. Harley would have agreed with him if he had read his thoughts. He was furious about Peter going all by himself. "I just want to see her now, please." Peter was already getting past the young man when he grasped his upper arm and yanked him back. Peter's brows immediately furrowed together, and his gaze darkened a bit. "Tony's with her right now." He paused. "What the hell were you thinking? Going after Toomes all by yourself? Do you have a death wish?" Perhaps he did. No one was sure if Y/n would wake up again and make it out alive. Perhaps, unintentionally, Peter had already made up his mind. He was ready to do something so dangerous and risk getting killed without thinking it through clearly. He was driven by anger and grief. Like a little voice whispering in the back of his mind.
But who was Harley to judge him for that? "What would you know about it? Huh?" Peter snarled at him. That darker glare in his eyes was back. "I tried to stop him." He continued. Harley stopped him again when he tried to move past him to get downstairs to his girlfriend. Once again, there was nothing but a distance between them. "You could've been killed." Harley reminded him. "I'm here, aren't I?" Peter felt his heart beating loudly in his ears. All his muscles seemed to tense up, and his senses were heightened.

All he wanted was to go down those steps and see his girl. Who was this person, this guy, to stop him? Harley doesn't know him. They're not friends. Are they? Peter doesn't even want to know the answer to his own thoughts. He just needed to get past this obstacle. "There's hatred involved. I get it. It's not gonna help you." Harley told him. Peter scoffed and ripped his arm out of Harley's grip. "Can I go now?" But Harley wouldn't let him. With his arms crossed over his chest, the young man kept him right there. "Do you know what you did? Barnes came over here to warn Tony about you." Peter did not know that. He had called Bucky, yes, but he didn't know Bucky would rush to Tony, of all people. "Mister Barnes is here? Like... here, here?" Harley nodded his head yes. He wondered if Peter really expected Bucky to sit around and not do a thing after getting a call like that. Was he supposed to? "Bucky came over to tell Tony what you were doing. He wasn't very happy about that, I'll tell you that." Peter cursed under his breath. He should have thought about that. "I was panicking. I didn't know what to do. Usually, I would call Y/n or Tony-" He cut himself off and put both hands on his head. "He's not hurt, is he?" He couldn't handle another person getting hurt because of him. But to his relief, Harley shook his head no. "I saw the footage of you and Toomes fighting. One of those guys that was with him, they took something. From the machine, Pete." Peter knew he should have focused on those vehicles on the road instead of Toomes. He just couldn't help it. He had to follow the Vulture.

"Did you see them?" Peter asked him. "Yes. And I've already scanned their faces. No matches. They're barely visible. They kept their faces low." Toomes has clearly done this before. He came prepared. Peter already felt bad for letting them go, but now they have taken something too? Really? Great! Something else to worry about. Just great. "This was stupid." Harley told him, "Very stupid." Peter sank his teeth into his cheeks to keep himself from speaking. He couldn't have known that, could he? The Vulture was his focus. "I know it was. Alright? I know." Peter replied, "I found him, though. Where he's hiding." That man's entire workshop could be right there, and they could put an end to all of this. This was good. Harley didn't seem to be certain how to respond to that. What do you say to that? Peter wasn't even going to tell him anything yet. "I wanna see her first, though." And he finally pushed past the young man.
