Chapter 123

-Aiyana-

After making up, Mommy was so estatic. Daddy and I came up with a compromise. No sex for at least a month so I can heal properly.

I pouted as I look in the mirror at the fading bruises. "I literally look fine" I huffed.

Sissy who was passing by my room, stopped by. "Yana you look like you got hit by a bus" She deadpanned.

"Well I want that bus again hmph" I muttered crossing my arms. She snickered and took me downstairs.

I huffed and sat beside Jazzy who was reading the paper. Sensing my emotions he glance at me with a smirk.

"Hush" I said not even glancing at him.  He snickered from behind the newspaper.

I rolled my eyes and turned the tv on.

Staring through the small slit of the curtain at the vampire family.

I watched as majority of the clan act sweetly, almost possessive to the youngest looking one who was covered with fading bruises.

"Master it seems that one is the baby of the family" My underling made aware.

I hummed still observing the family. Suddenly the small one looked through the small slit of the curtain directly in my direction. I disappeared quickly.

'Interesting' I thought with a smirk.

"There's someone outside" I muttered feeling the wind shift with some unusual resistance. As I look through the curtain at the trees, I swear I seen something black disappear.

Everyone surrounded me in alert.
"Where"  Teddy demanded.

"In the trees" I said blankly still staring out the window.

Him and Jazzy suddenly appeared in the trees directly in the spot I was looking at.

"Did you see anything?" Sissy asked me.

"I saw something black for a split second then it was gone" I said rubbing my arm.

"Well whatever it was smells like burning flesh and ash" Jazzy said blandly, back erected hands behind his back.

"Burning flesh?" I questioned, looking up at Mommy. She wrapped her arm around my waist, pulling me closer.

"We'll inform Carlisle when he gets home" Eddie said. Everyone nodded.

"Until then, everyone stays in the house" Mommy ordered. I sighed.

"Well what are we going to do for the time being" Rosie questioned, genuinely annoyed.

Suddenly Teddy grinned and Eddie sighed. "Of course you would Emmett" He muttered

"I THINK I'LL TAKE MY WHISKEY NEATTTT!!~"

I giggled with my smoothie in hand listening to Teddy sing from the Karaoke machine.

"MY COFFEE BLACK AND MY BED AT THREE!!~"

"Screaming doesn't equal singing, Emmett" Bells sighed rubbing her temples.

"YOU'RE TOO SWEET FOR ME!!~" He screamed louder with an evil smirk.

Everyone groaned. I shook my head at my family.

Then I heard the front door shut.

Everyone jolted and stood up quickly. Mommy tucked me behind her back.

Daddy came around the corner with a smile. His smile slowly turned into a frown seeing everyone so tense.

"Daddy!" I exclaimed happily running to him. I was snatched back by Eddie. I whimpered.

Daddy's eyes snapped to him, I saw a flicker of anger in his eyes. Seeing this Eddie let me go. Daddy pecked my forehead, visibly relaxing.

"What's going on?" He said putting his suitcase down.

"Aiyana seen someone outside the house in the trees" Jazzy said. Daddy glanced down at me eyes full of worry. I patted his side in comfort.

"Yeah so we're just cautious. Sorry for that" Eddie sighed running his hand through his hair clearly frustrated.

"It's fine son" Daddy said with an understanding smile.

"Was there a scent?" Daddy asked the others.

"Burning flesh and ash" Teddy said.

"Alice do you see anything? Daddy asked.

Alice shook her. "Nope or anything before that" She huffed crossing her arms. Jazzy rubbed her shoulders in comfort.

"Could've been a nomad passing through but everyone stay vigilant" Daddy said.

"Mommy said we shouldn't leave the house until you got back" I said looking up at him.

He brushed my chin.

"I'm starving!" Teddy exclaimed dramatically .

"Until this settles down, you must take a partner to hunt" Daddy ordered.

Teddy grinned. "Come on Pixie. You dragged me off to the mall so now Im dragging you to hunt"

Alice scoffed. Then they both speed off into the forest.

I heard as a small gust of wind hit my hair and clothes.

I smiled.
