Don't leave me... Please? (Prinxiety)

T.W. Heartbreak, sandess, mention of a panic attack

Roman and Virgil had been dating for a little over a year and Virigl loved Roman. However, Roman had realised, he did not feel the same as he used to. He just didn't want to hurt Virgil, but he couldn't keep on going with the relationship, as it was a lie. 

He used to love Virgil more than anything in the world, he knew how to make him happy, and how to help him on his bad days. He couldn't think of a time where he didn't help Virigl, however he also couldn't think of a time where Virgil did anything for him. Helping him reach the conclusion, that the relationship was one sided. 

One evening the four sides were watching a Disney movie, which one, Roman didn't know, he was too lost in thought about how he was going to tell Virgil about what was going through his head about their relationship. 

"Earth to Roman" Virgil said, waving his hand in front of Roman's face. 

"Huh?"

"The movie is over, you were completely zoned out."

"Sorry Virgil."

As the words eft Roman's mouth, Virgil knew something was wrong, Roman never called him by his name, unless something was seriously wrong. 

"Roman, what's wrong?" he asked, his heart beginning to speed up, feeling an attack planning on surfacing. 

"I'm just thinking."

"About?"

"Us."

"What about us?"

"This relationship is very one sided, don't you think? I do everything for you, I help you where I can. I do it all and you haven't done a single thing for me."

Virgil let Roman's words sink in before firing back, "One sided? What about all the times I wrote songs for you? Made cookies with Patton for you? Patched you up after a battle in the Imagination? You say it's one sided, when you just don't pay attention to everything else around you. You're just a selfish, egotistical Prince, just like the rest of them."

He stood up and ran to his room, shutting the door behind him, leaving Roman sat thinking about what was just said. 

Virgil fell to the floor, sobs wracking his small frame, his heart lay broken on the floor by the sofa, where Roman carelessly dropped it. 

Patton knocked on the door, hoping to help Virgil, but receiving a "Go away" instead. 

Hours passed before Roman went to Virgil's room. 

He knocked and walked in, noticing Virgil on the floor, having not moved since he shut himself away. 

"Virgil?" he started softly.

"What do you w-want?" Virgils voice broke and Prince winced at how sad he sounded. 

"I want to apologise, what I said was wrong."

Virgilg didn't reply, or look up, he sat waiting, knowing that the worst was yet to come. 

"I just don't think..." Roman cut himself off. "I don't hold the same feelings I once did. I don't think I can do this anymore."

Virgil felt new, hot tears fall. He couldn't find his voice, and didn't know what to do. 

Roman took the silence as an indication to leave. 

Just as he reached the door, Virgil spoke up, through the tears, he mumbled, "don't leave me... Please?"

"I'm sorry" came the reply and Prince left, closing the door behind him.

Virgil completely broke dowm, tears streaming down his face. 

He vowed to never give his heart out again.
