Virgil sighed. Freshman year of high school and he couldn't wait for it to be over, despite the fact that it hadn't started yet.
He dragged himself out of bed and got ready for his first day. The only decent thing being the fact that he actually got to see his boyfriends, who, the year prior, had been in high school as he had been in his final year of middle school. Of course he had Roman, and that was great, but there were times of the day that he needed either Patton or Logan.
He looked in his bathroom mirror and fixed his hair, allowing his bangs to fall naturally over his eyes, and the rest just did whatever it felt like. He sighed and grumbled. He wanted to look better. But he just had no motivation to try.
He sighed, dragging his already packed bag down to the kitchen, where he collected his phone and headphones. He knew he'd be walking with his boyfriends, but he would still require his music. He sat on the sofa in the living room, his leg bouncing out of nerves. His mind began racing, and he was worried about falling into an attack.
His thoughts were cut short by a knock at the door. Virgil's house was the last they came to. Patton lived furthest away, then Logan, then Roman and then himself. Their parents were all friends, and all seemed to be accepting of their relationship.
He made his way to the door, opening it to reveal his three boyfriends. Patton grinned and bounded over to the youngest, pulling him into a hug, pressing s kiss to his temple. Logan was the next to hug him, it was only short, yet it was appreciated. Roman stepped up last, pulling Virgil into a bear hug, which was soon joined by Logan and Patton. Virgil found himself laughing slightly, saying how he couldn't breathe.
They apologised and stepped away, but not before each pressed a short, soft kiss to his lips.
He smiled, and Patton laced their fingers together, allowing them to start walking to school.
The walk was rather uneventful and the four just spent the time talking, and catching up. Not that they had much to catch up on, they'd been together almost every day over the summer break.
Virgil was glad that he would be with his boyfriends for the next 3 years. He knew it didn't seem like long, but the idea was comforting to him.
He smiled as he listened to Logan lecturing Patton about something, what it was, he didn't know, he just knew it was a lecture and he had no part in it.
Whilst Virgil was thinking, the conversation had changed, and Roman had begun to join in.
They reached the school and went their separate ways to their respective lockers.
As Virgil reached his locker, he pressed his head to the cool metal. He wasn't sure why, but he just didn't feel great, he felt too hot, but too cold, and his stomach kept cramping. He sighed and tried to ignore the pain, and almost didn't hear the footsteps behind him.
Almost.
His looked down, and he could just about make out the shoes of his boyfriend behind him.
He turned around and latched himself onto Logan, who, despite still being uncertain with physical contact, wrapped his arms around the youngest male, and pressed a soft kiss to the smaller boy.
They were soon after joined by Patton and Roman, and Virgil detached himself from logan and attached himself to Patton, who ran his fingers through the black hair of the male holding onto him.
"Virgil, love, what is the matter?" Logan spoke, his voice soft, and uneasy.
"Everything." He muttered.
"Care to elaborate?" Virgil shook his head against the chest of his boyfriend, and Logan deflated slightly.
Roman reached over and ran his fingers over Virgil's shoulder, and leaned over, pressing a small kiss to his temple.
Virgil smiled a small smile, that wasn't noticeable unless it was looked for.
Virgil stepped back from Patton and dried his eyes slightly, and sighed.
All too soon, the bell rang for their first class, and they separated into two groups, Patton and Roman one way, Virgil and Logan the other.

By the time lunch rolled around, Virgil was ready to curl up and either cry and or sleep. He had one class at the same time as Roman, yet they had the same subjects and it made Virgil's anxiety worse. He had 3 classes with Logan, however only one was in the morning, and he had two with Patton, which were both in the morning, in reality, he only had 1 class alone, but it was too much for him.
He'd found a table, and sat there, his bag in his locker, and his head on the table. He kept his arms pinned to his side, and didn't hear his boyfriend's arriving. They all had their fourth together, whilst Virgil was stuck on his own. It wasn't fair. He wanted to be with them.
Patton situated himself next to the anxious male, and Logan and Roman took seats opposite.
A hand resting on Virgil's back caused him to look up.
"Hey sport." Patton spoke, a small smile finding its way into Virgil's features, and he moved closer to Patton, allowing the older male to wrap his in a hug, which helped him calm down slightly.
"I hate this." He muttered.
"What's that, love?" Roman asked.
"School. I hardly see you Roman. And you all have fourth together whilst I'm stuck on my own." He sighed and buried his face in Patton's chest.
"We missed you though." Patton murmured him the ear of the younger male, causing his cheeks to turn a faint pink.
"Really?"
"Of course. We love you."
Virgil smiled, the four ate and talked throughout lunch and Virgil stayed pinned to his boyfriend's side.

The end of the day rolled around too slow for Virgil's liking, and he gratefully left the classroom with Logan.
The two met up with Roman and Patton, and the four went to the park.
The sat themselves under a tree, and talked about their day. Virgil didn't like school, but knowing he had his boyfriends there for him, he was okay with it, and he'd learn to tolerate it.
