I Love You (Royality)

It's based on a prompt, I just can't find the prompt, but if you read it and have seen the prompt previously, you will know which one I'm talking about.

Not going to say what the trigger warning in this is, I don't want to ruin it, I'm just letting you know, there is one.

He looked down, as the blade passed
through his stomach, his enemy rips the blade out, causing blood to pour out.

He falls to the ground, and knows
he won't live much longer.

He pulls out his phone, and dials
the number he knows will make his life that much better.

"Roman?"

"Patton, I don't have much time, I
just want you to know I love you okay?"

"What happened Roman?"

"Nothing cookie, just promise me,
you'll talk to Logan and Virgil, don't hide away."

"R-Roman."

"Cookie, you'll be okay. What did
you do today?"

"I made cookies, and brownies, and
Virgil and I played games, and even Logan joined in, it was all so fun, it
would have been better with you there, but I loved it, we'll have to do it all
again at some point."

"I'd love to cookie," He looked
down at his wound, the blood still flowed out, he went back to the
conversations, knowing his breathing was slowing, and sounded forced, "I love
you cookie."

"I love you too Ro. When will you
be home?"

He felt a tear slide down his
face, "soon, but don't wait for me." He tried to keep his breathing regular,
and his tears to a minimum.

"I will always wait for you."

"I'm so sorry cookie, I love you,
and talk to Logan and Virgil." He hung up before he could say anything else,
and his breathing became too short, and he was unable to do much of anything.

He felt his phone vibrate in his
hand, as Patton tried to call him back.

He left it to vibrate, and as the
blood poured out of him, he sent out one last thought, "I will always love you
Patton. Always. I will come back one day."

His eyes fluttered closed, and his
heart stopped.

A week had passed, and no side
knew where Roman had gone, Patton was tearing himself apart, he didn't know
what Roman was talking about. He was the last person that heard from Roman.

Thomas was finding no inspiration,
his creativity had gone, yet no one knew why, the idea that Roman was gone
never came to them.

Virgil suspected something was
wrong with the royal, but he was scared to mention anything.

Patton did as Roman said, and
talked to Logan and Virgil, but it was hard for all of them.

Logan was confused, he didn't know
anything about what Roman was going through, or had gone through.

Roman's body lay where it was when
he died, he was surrounded by his own blood, and no one knew.

It took a week of searching for
his guards to find his body, and one went to notify the other sides
immediately, but it was too late.

The new Roman had formed, and he'd
come to the other sides, Patton was overjoyed, and he ran over to Roman, "Puppy!"
he threw his arms around the new Roman, who pushed him away.

"Who are you?"

Patton's eyes filled with tears,
and he ran to his room, devastated that Roman didn't know him.

Logan and Virgil finally realized what
had happened, and Logan gave the new Roman a tour, whilst Virgil went to
Patton, he explained everything, both sides breaking down.

Even if Patton didn't show it, he
knew he would never be able to look at Roman the same, not after everything he'd
been through with him. They would never be together.

Once Logan had finished the mind
palace tour, Roman went to his room, and shut the door, sliding to the floor,
he remembered Patton and everything that had happened, but he knew he'd never
be able to say anything.

He felt one tear fall, and he sent out the thought again, "I will always love you Patton. Always."
