Band Au (No Ship)

Patton, Logan, Virgil and Roman were sat under a tree, having just finished school for the day.

Virgil was off in his own little world, listening to music, leaving the other three to have their own little conversation.

Patton, being the one who always asks interesting questions, asked, "If we were to start a band, who would play what?"

"I would sing!" Roman immediately answered.

"On the contrary, I believe Virgil would sing, leaving you, Roman, with backup vocals." Logan added his input.

"Wha-Why?" Roman questioned, confused.

"Have you heard Virgil sing?"

"No..."

"You should."

Virgil's song had just finished, leaving him to tune back into the conversation, "You should" being the only thing he heard.

"Should what?" He asked, confused about the entire conversation, causing him to remove his headphones.

"Roman thinks he should sing if we were to create a band, whereas Logan seems to think you should be the one to sing." Patton filled the darker male in.

"Why?" Virgil asked Logan genuinely confused.

"Well, you sing incredibly well, you are able to reach a variety of notes, which makes it much better for you to sing, whereas Roman has a rather deep voice when it comes to singing, therefore making you a better fit for the role."

"But he sings. I don't"

"I have heard you sing."

"That's..." he paused "Not in front of people, and I didn't know you were there, you walked in on me."

"And is that a bad thing? I think you would be able to do pretty well should you seriously consider singing."

Virgil sent the logical male a small smile.

"So what would the rest of us do, if Virgil were to sing?"

"Patton would play drums, you would be lead guitar and backup vocals and Logan would be bass guitar." Virgil answered the regal male.

"DRUMS" Patton exclaimed, childishly, causing Roman to send him a smile and roll his eyes fondly.

The four sat talking about the hypothetical band, that had become not so hypothetical, for a little while longer, and after a while of debate, they settled on their roles of the band, and they all seemed happy with it.

All that was left was for them to decide on a name.

Roman suggested "Sanders sides," Sanders being his surname, and him being the "leader" per say.

Virgil suggested "The Chemical Nothings" due to their existence being pathetic and not worthwhile, and chemicals being a way of death, as he put it.

Patton suggested "Young Blood" due to them all being young and having so much left ahead of them.

And Logan suggested "Parts of a Whole" with them all being friends, they were what made all the others a whole.

After much deliberation, due to bias, they eventually settled on "Parts of a Whole," and set about, the next day, going to a music room and practicing.

If they succeeded in their band, you'll just have to keep your eyes open.

Thank you three for your suggestions, I incorporated them all into the oneshot.

Sorry it isn't great, I'm working on something else, well 2 more, and they're hopefully going to be better. We'll see.
