He sighed and threw his phone against the wall, of course, they'd forgotten again. He'd put his heart and soul into a one sided relationship.

He didn't matter, he wasn't important. He was alone and insignificant.

He gets called pet names, feels emotions from them, and he feels special, yet this is how he's replayed.

Made in His image
You were made for more

He has nothing to do, he just walks through life bored and numb. It all just happens.

You think there is no plan, that it's all by chance
But don't believe that anymore

His eyes shoot open in a morning, and his bed is still empty, yet he's still breathing, and alive. He closes his eyes and hopes to die. His heart beats for the one he loves, and he needs to give up, he sees no point.

Then he found someone new, someone who showed he was worth it.

Helped him through the darker times, and kept his head up, held him. Made him see the brighter sides.

There were days where he felt useless and was the only reason they were still around. He gave them purpose, yet he didn't give himself purpose.

If you spent your days, just getting by

And show you what it means to be alive

He found himself wishing for death, yet whenever his new friend was around, he'd feel better, want to be awake, and be alive.

He felt worthy, and able to keep going. He didn't want to leave his life behind.

His friend made him break up and get out of the relationship that dragged him down, made him feel better.

Every day is a gift from above

He'll be there

They soon started dating, their hearts beat wild, their eyes shone with love, and happiness.

- 5 Years Later -

He sighed and looked across the room, his husband sat at the table with his parents, and he was getting them both a drink. Their relationship had gone well, it had been a sting five years. He'd still have days where he'd struggle to get out of bed, but he would, his husband would be there, and hold him tight, reassure him that he was worth it.

The two came together for their first dance as a married couple.

As they swayed and danced to the music, his husband leaned forward, and murmured in his ear:

He smiled, and felt his husbands lips to his forehead.

He knew he'd made the right choice in choosing Patton. He made his life complete, and he could never be happier.
