Let's end at the beginning,
And forget the middle.
Because right now,
Our lives are in riddles.

We aren't meant to be.
There's no happily ever after.
Maybe we will be happy,
Since the best medicine is laughter.

We lie awake crying,
Thinking of the other.
Whilst we look to the side,
And see the silhouette of another.

I miss your smile,
And your hand in mine.
You made me feel good,
I just want to go back in time.

I'm sorry for what I did,
What I never said.
I'm sorry I hurt you,
Thoughts are loud in my head.

You cleared my mind,
Helped me see through the pain.
You were the sunshine,
Through the rain.

Life's too short,
To be filled with regret.
But I can't help but wish
That we had never met.

I can't help but say
that I love you.
You don't have to believe me
But it's true.

I'm sorry to bring it up,
I know it wa tough.
We were kids,
We were young and in love.

Life moves on,
And so will we.
But for now,
You're my best memory.
