Trigger Warning - sadness and badness

"You're outfit is so not interesting, Roman."

"You're eyes are so dull at all."

"You're not at all inspiring, and creative!"

"You should probably hide away in your room."

Deceit insulted the creative side again and again, the entire video was filled with him being insulted. He'd had enough, but he just couldn't bring himself to say anything.

He watched at deceit was pretty good with the other sides and their host, yet whenever it came to him and Roman talking, the insults just flew out.

Roman knew they were lies, but it didn't stop them from knocking his self-esteem down.

He would sit in his room, knees up to his chest, tears streaming down his face, his chest tight, the pain only going slightly when Virgil would come in, making sure he was okay, knowing how he felt, feeling the anxiety radiating off the creative aspect.

They would sit in silence, Roman's sobs filling the room. Virgil would try his best to keep the prince-like trait calm, but he found it hard, so he would talk to Roman, about anything, the most random of stuff sometimes, which ended up making him laugh, and they would sit laughing about a new word Virgil made up, or Virgil talking about the Disney movies he watched and pointed out some of the ridiculous things in him, he even went as far as impersonating the other sides. Virgil was always able to improve his mood, and Roman was grateful.

They would sit and talk for a while after that, and Virgil would leave when he was too tired, since he usually took most of the anxiety away from Roman.

And when he did leave, Roman was left alone with his thoughts.

He often fell asleep tears either on his face, or about to fall.

Then the next day, he would pretend everything was just peachy, he'd pretend he hadn't been crying, and he and Virgil never spoke publically about their conversations, or how often he was helped by the anxious trait.

He would sit and let Deceit insult him, and he would feel his self-esteem lower more. It was a vicious cycle, and it, for lack of a better word, sucked.

One day, Thomas had summoned 3 of his sides, Roman, Virgil and Deceit.

Deceit was being more of a pain than normal, and somewhere, somehow, he felt it necessary to tell Roman "You should definitely go and kill yourself."

Roman's eyes filled with tears, and he excused himself, going back to the Mindscape. Virgil's eyes widened, and a fiery rage filled them. "How Dare You?"

"I didn't do anything!"

"How could you?! You insult him, daily, and you knock his self-esteem down, you push him to tears, make him panic, and I am the one that see's that side of him, I'm the one that helps, and it's because of you"

Deceit looked at Virgil, slightly shocked at his outburst, and sunk down, guilt settling in him.

He made his way to the creative aspect's room, and knocked.

Roman answered the door, his head hung, refusing to meet anyone's gaze, and when he noticed the shoes outside his door were not one of the friendlier traits, he tried to close the door, but he was stopped.

"I'm sorry." Deceit spoke, honestly.

"No you aren't, you said things and you meant them, you meant your lies and I'm not okay with it."

Roman lifted his head, his eyes red from crying, and he met the gaze of the snake-eyed trait.

"I am, I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it."

"You would."

"Roman..."

"No, you listen to me, I am not okay with the way you treat me. You say things that are clearly insulting, and I have done nothing but be nice to you, I accommodated you, I made you feel welcome, I even let you come into my room countless times, and that is how you thank me? I will not stand for it!"

Deceit watched the trait in front of him, his gaze shifting to one of unhappiness, and he stepped closer to the royal aspect, who didn't notice.

He reached his gloved hand up to the cheek of the trait in front of him, which caused him to stop talking.

"You can't just expect me to stop talking, I have every right to tell you..."

He was cut off by the lips of the lying trait being pressed against his own.

It was a short kiss that held a lot of emotion.

"How I feel..." he finished his sentence.

"And how do you feel?"

"Confused."

"Roman, I like you, and I'm sorry, I will try to watch what I say, and I will try and rectify the issues that I have caused."

Roman smiled, accepting the honest apology of the dishonest trait, who pressed his lips against Roman's once more, and pushed them back into his room, shutting the door, and them off from the world for a while.
